CBC Staff: Opposition to Obama is Racist
Beltway Confidential ^ | June 11, 2012 | Joel Gehrke

Posted on 06/11/2012 11:21:49 AM PDT by GeorgeWashingtonsGhost

Angela Rye, Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus, argued that President Obama has struggled during his first term due to racially-motivated opposition from conservatives who dislike having a black president.

"This is probably the toughest presidential term in my lifetime," Rye said during CSPAN's Q&A yesterday. "I think that a lot of what the president has experienced is because he's black. You know, whether it's questioning his intellect or whether or not he's Ivy League. It's always either he's not educated enough or he's too educated; or he's too black or he's not black enough; he's too Christian or not Christian enough. There are all these things where he has to walk this very fine line to even be successful."

She said that "a lot" of conservative opposition is racially-charged, citing the use of the word "cool" in an attack ad launched by Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS superPAC. "There's an ad, talking about [how] the president is too cool, [asking] is he too cool? And there's this music that reminds me of, you know, some of the blaxploitation films from the 70s playing in the background, him with his sunglasses," Rye said. "And to me it was just very racially-charged. They weren't asking if Bush was too cool, but, yet, people say that that's the number one person they'd love to have a beer with. So, if that's not cool I dont know what is. Even 'cool,' the term 'cool,' could in some ways be deemed racial [in this instance]."

Rye said "I don't know" when asked if black enthusiasm for Obama might be lower than in 2008, but added that the Democrats have to explain how voter ID laws are racist to help motivate black voters.

Or, to paraphrase, “that word no longer has the effect that you think it should”...

I just laugh at people who take this position, because they’re asserting that we’d no oppose 0bama’s Marxist policies if he were white,
and that we’d oppose policies of Herman Cain, Thomas Sowell, Justice Thomas, Walter Williams, or Alan Keyes because they’re black.

Absolutely ludicrous.

Dear CBC, I know I speak for almost all when I say that I take the advice of Dr. MLK, Jr to judge President Obama on the content of his character (and leadership) and not by the color of his skin.

Constantly playing the race card will not turn out well for you.

So Angela Rye thinks I’m a racist. I’m not, but hey Angela, if you think that, what are you going to do about it, huh?

I couldn’t care less what Angela and the Black Caucus think. Water off a ducks back.

Why is it, Ms. Rye, that most of us racists have great respect for Allan West? What’s that you say: He must be an Uncle Tom. I thought so!

What’s really racist is 97 or 98% of black people voting for someone solely because they are black! Now that’s racist!

In 2008, folks cared enough to argue that they honestly disliked Obama because of his policies and his character...not because of his race.

But in 2012, people no longer care what they are accused of. The charge of racism has lost its sting.

Obama and his racist followers have ruined any racial harmony that used to exist in America.

While White folks I know still have positive feelings for those of other races, Obama has conjured a cloud of suspicion which follows members of his "adopted" race. I don't encounter a Black person nowadays without wondering if they hate me simply because I am White. And for this reason, there is now a mistrust that will be hard to remove.

This is one of the many negative legacies of Obama.

There. Truthed it for her.

Yeah, “whitey” is “racist” whilst gangs of blacks are ganging up and beating white people all across the country.

"The left is setting the stage towards creating an environment where being dissatisfied with Obama's presidency is tantamount to 'being racist'! Watch for the race card to be played numerous times as election day nears in the hopes that 'white guilt' gets Obama re-elected."

Uh, if it's played as poorly as Ms. Mushmouth just played it, it's cool.

We agree. It has been the most difficult for us out here watching the more unqualified man in the room leading anything.

It's always either he's not educated enough or he's too educated;

Let me see his transcripts.

I’m no racist. I’ve backed the idea of a Sowell-Williams (or Williams-Sowell) ticket for years. I even had a bumper sticker printed one election reading: “Blacks to the Future - Sowell-Williams.” Ah!, perchance to dream. Also check out my pardon for being white. It’s from Dr. Williams himself.

Does the CBC allow white members? No? Does that make them racist?

Obama fails the “content of his character” test. After that he’s fair game. I’ve heard uniformed civic leaders refer to him as “that n*gger.”

Therefore, all of the opposition President George W. Bush got from the Congressional Black Racists was also racist.

Your organization is racist.

Call me when there’s a Congressional White Caucus.

And that’s coming from a sistah.

I told everyone to jump all over him before he got into office; I knew what he was. Everyone trembled to be called racist; Hell, they will say that anyway, so what. The fact the fool got in was due to all, not only blacks voting (and ACORN/Dem fraud of all colors... red).

After seeing that 97-98% of people of a certain ethnic group voted for FUBO based soley on his ethnicity ... and that most of that same group will still vote for him for the same reason, I now know who the REAL racists are.
