If Farmers will let their farms go barren without water, and lose a year’s income due to EPA enforcement, then I don’t see them fighting over a ditch.

Nor do I. Furthermore, if the Dept. of Ed. has swat teams, how far behind can the EPA be, if they are behind at all.

If citizens resort to civilized methods like the courts, the agencies have virtually unlimited resources to fight back. Sure, citizens occasionally win and the EPA retaliates by releasing a new flurry of regulations. I hear a lot of people talk big about resisting, but when push comes to shove, they see they are outgunned and back down.

I agree with your conclusion; this is not a sane world.

The only solution is to dispand the EPA. I’m not holding my breath that the spineless twins McConnell and Boner have the will to do that.

The EPA also uses drones to spy on farmers and ranchers. IMO, farmers should prepare to get by for a few years and shut down agriculture for a time.

Have fun. Enjoy the slide.

First of all the system of unincorporated areas having no local oversight is a major part of the problem. Back East, we had townships in areas of the counties that were outside of urban towns or cities. The townships are not only self-governing, they are self funding. The township residents determine what level of services they will have and how they will pay for them. The townships must still meet certain levels of health and safety.

As it stands, the unincorporated areas in WA are governed by centralized regulators and county councils that live mostly in the urban areas, as if the rural areas were nothing but colonies or feudal fiefs of the urban regulatory boards. This country ended colonial rule in 1776 and these lefties want to re-instate it.
