MONDAY UPDATE: There’s now a date for Rush Limbaugh’s move to his new Philadelphia home, Merlin Media’s WWIQ (106.9 Camden NJ). He’ll switch stations two weeks from today, on Monday, June 25 – and when he does, his old slot on CBS Radio’s WPHT (1210 Philadelphia) will be filled by a live clearance of WPHT’s star talk host, Michael Smerconish. Replacing Smerconish in afternoon drive on WPHT will be the duo of longtime Philly talk host Steve Martorano and sports writer Buzz Bissinger
Time to change radio pre-sets!
Good news. Since 1210 cancelled Beck and Hannity I’ve been looking for a reason to remove them from my presets completely. They pre-empt Rush a lot for the Phillies anyway.
Only thing I’ll miss is Dom Giordano.
Wherever Rush goes, look for that station’s revenue intake to go through the roof.
For WPHT to replace him with the Obama loving Michael Smerconish is a long, long drop in quality. Philly listeners will need a 7-shot, 20-ounce Americano to stay awake through three hours of Smerconish.
Thanks for the heads up, can’t wait to make the switch. Smerconish and his voice, are like nails across a chalkboard. Now I won’t even have to listen to his commercials. What a relief.
IQ has been pushing self-advertising spots poking fun at Michael SmerCommie. LOL.
To show how far left Smerconish is he considers Ron Paul a nut, except he agrees with his foreign policy. Smerconish is truly annoying have no idea why he is popular.
