Obama Defends Lack Of Pre-Recall WI Visits: Busy With ‘A Lot Of Responsibilities’ (Video)

In an interview Monday with WBAY Green Bay (CBS), President Barack Obama explained his lack of appearances in Wisconsin in the months leading up to last week’s recall election, saying that he is busy with “a lot of responsibilities” and “would have loved to see a different result.”

Obama has been criticized by Democrats for doing little more than tweeting his support for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett‘s failed attempt to unseat Republican Governor Scott Walker in the recall election.

I was supportive of Tom and have been supportive of Tom. Obviously, I would have loved to see a different result, but the broader principle is that we want an economy that is not focused on a few at the top, but is a broad-based economy that invests in our future, that makes sure we’ve got a strong education system that is thinking about workers and their ability to pay their bills. Something in everything I do shows those are values I care about deeply. And we’re gonna be fighting very hard in Wisconsin, just like we have in the past, to make sure that’s the kind of government people get.

It’s not just about Tom. Unions lost about half their members in Wisconsin because of Walker.

We can call BS on this one.

In the days leading up to the recall, he attended fundraisers in both Minnesota and Illinois, both neighboring states.

And, we can recall in the past he has campaigned for candidates for office, if he chose to do so.

So if he had chosen to do so, he would have made an appearance.

Wisc. Democrats got thrown under the bus. What did they get? Not Obama, but they got Bill Clinton doing his stream of consciousness routine instead.

“Lot of responsibilities”....what a bunch of BS. The imposter-in-chief is running around the country shaking down fat cats beholden to the RATS. He certainly has not done one thing to make the country better....and don’t say he got Osama, Seal Team 6 took care of that.

If Bush gave a reporter an answer like that, the reporter would have promptly recited Bush’s entire schedule for the week, probably even asking how much money he collected at the fund raisers. Did Obama get a follow up question?

It’s in quotation marks, so I assume it’s a direct quote. Did the smartest man to ever live in the White House really mix tenses and say, “I would have loved to see a different result”?

At first I thought this was another Semi-News, Semi-Satire. His chief responsiblities these days are scouting vacation spots, holding fund raisers, rubbing elbows with celebrities, and working on his back swing.
