Attorney General Eric Holder publicly asked House Speaker John Boehner, House oversight committee Chairman Darrell Issa and Sen. Chuck Grassley during a Tuesday morning hearing to meet with him one-on-one about Operation Fast and Furious. But the leading congressional investigators said a House subpoena from October 2011 is still pending and the ball is in Holder’s court. “I want to make it very clear that I am offering to sit down, by myself, offering to sit down with the Speaker, with the chairman, with whomever, to try to work our way through this in an attempt to avoid a constitutional

Title should be: Holder Threatens Constitutional Crises if Republicans Continue Hearings. Glad to hear Bohner is holding the line for a change. Already knew Issa would.

One congressman in the hearing last week asked Holder to make himself available outside the hearing and Holder never answered the question. Now he wants to? BS.

Avoid a Constitutional crisis? We've had that since 2008. Interesting choice of words, even though he tried tom walk them back.

'Caveman' Bohner will cave! He got his nickname 'caveman' from the many times he has caved in the past. He is a worthless leader. He never holds the line. He does not worry about what the Republicans assembly thinks of him.

I remember reading last week that the Republican leadership of the House were trying to make all of this F&F controversy go away.

Sounds like a pretty plausible theory to me.
On the record, recorded and sworn testimony is the only way for the truth to come out, the hell with closed door meetings by politicians.

Holder knows this ain’t any Constitutional crisis. All he has to do is claim Executive Priveledge and that’s it. But when they get the axe in Nov. Romney can have his DOJ go after Holder anew.

Looks like UATWMF for Holder, either way. And he can see a vacant spot under the nobama bus just his size.

I was wondering about that. What do you suppose he has on Boehner or Issa? Boehner has seemed gun-shy.

Let's see if they agree to this meeting. I'm inclined to think not, but you can't tell with the weepy one. The first is never the final word with these people.

Stedman may have tipped his hand to a Constitutional crisis. This may mean that this whole operation goes straight to the White Crib on the anti-gun agenda. F'n'F was supposed to 'prove' that guns are moving across the border into the hands of the cartels, and that the US needs to disarm all citizens and shut down all gun shops. This backfired, misfired, and stovepiped when the phony antics led to the death of an agent.

You might be in error......

More likely, it has finally become time.

All before is prelude and good timing is key to a successful operation.

We now know that Holder is desperate. He does not have the power to generate a constitutional crisis. Only Obama can do that.

Although blood is thicker than water, if spilling Holder blood is expedient, Obama will throw him to the lions

I recall that in the last House committee hearing Holder was asked if he would sit down personally with Issa and his reply was a smartass remark about how much time he had already spent answering their questions. I guess he’s getting the same answer back now. They’ve already wasted enough time waiting for you to be forthcoming with something of substance.

Only the Prez can assert executive privilege.

Holder's offer to compromise reminds me of when Saddam Hussein was pulled from his spider hole and told the spec ops troops that he was willing to negotiate with President Bush.

Holder is dead political meat, and if this was a just nation, his boss too.

So you suspect nobama is just going to let Holder twist with the wind to possibly divert attention?

That is beginning to appear to be the case in watching Holder’s actions. They know they can not really trust one another to “got yo back”.

My question is, why not meet with him, then expose what he says in the next Hearing.

What do you suppose he has on Boehner or Issa?

Nothing on Issa, he's a bootstrap ordinary guy that learned how to create and build a major international corporation, and has financed right of center causes. He knows how to keep it clean, and how the Marxist Rats character assassinate someone.

Boehner on the other hand consorts with the Rats and is flakey enough to not watch his backside. It may have to do with an insider business deal for profit.

So...WHAT IS THE CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS? I’m usually able to follow this stuff.
