deceptive though it was, his “evolving” stance was a good one. It gave socially conservative blacks enough wiggle room to support him. Now any black who professes to be a Christian has no excuse.

He always understood that he couldn't afford to cross that line with blacks. There was nothing for him to gain in coming out in support of gay 'marriage', and with so many other things working against him in this election year, he had everything to lose by offending his most dedicated voting block.

This was an error of monumental proportions on his part, and proves to me that Obama is just as ignorant and incompetent as we've often thought he is.

Then again, you sort of have to ask yourself; if Obama knew he'd lose black voters if he sided with the radical gay agenda, why did he do this? Is he deliberately trying to throw the race to Romney?

Why did Obama come out for sodomite marriage? That’s an excellent question. You could chalk it up to something as simple as political incompetence. Personally, I think it was just as foolish to force the contraception mandate. Why not wait until after the election? It’s also possible lead Democrats are as out of touch with their base as ours are with us.

Sometimes I hear people like Jeb Bush and wonder how they could be so wrong about the Tea Party and conservatives in general. Maybe they only associate with like minded politicians? How many times do we have to tell them to cut some programs, reduce regulation, don’t give illegals an amnesty, stop with the unilateral truce on social issues, quit trying to act as Team USA World Police, etc? I wonder if the moderates agree with us on ANY of these issues. It’s not like we have to accomplish everything at once. Just start moving the ball down the field to the right!
