Grand jury to get case of Texas dad who beat alleged child molester to death

A Texas prosecutor said the case of a rancher who beat to death a man he caught allegedly molesting his daughter will go to a grand jury to decide whether the killing was justified, or an act of excessive force.

The father, whose name has not been released by authorities, claims he caught the man trying to molest his 4-year-old daughter on his ranch Saturday. Although Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said the girl’s father is unlikely to be arrested, District Attorney Heather McMinn told FoxNews.com the case remains under investigation and that the Texas Rangers have joined the probe.

“Once completed, [results of the investigation] will be forwarded to the district attorney’s office and it will be taken to a grand jury,” McMinn told FoxNews.com. “They’re still investigating what happened at this point.”

The grand jury will ultimately decide what charges -- if any -- the girl’s father will face, McMinn said.

James Harrington, director of the Texas Civil Rights Project, an Austin-based nonprofit group, questioned the father’s decision to “summarily execute” the alleged molester without due process.

Why is it necessary for Fox New to involve idiots at some Austin Non-profit group? I have total confidence in the Texas Rangers finding the facts and the grand jury delivering a no-bill.

“District Attorney Heather McMinn”

Why do I have an ‘uncomfortable feeling’ about that name? I hope I’m wrong, but Angela Corey comes to mind, right away. Sorry; can’t help it after yesterday’s GZ/SZ persecution stories.

UCMJ Opening statement: “Bring the guilty b****d forward for a fair trial.”

Corollary for TX Grand Jury: “Bring the innocent father forward for a fair trial.”

McMinn seeking another term as district attorney

Do you think it is possible she is grand standing before the election?

Should be a matter of about 30 seconds to declare this killing “justifiable homicide.” The father should be nominated for the Medal of Freedom.

Duh. It wasn’t an execution. It was a lawful use of deadly force to prevent the crime of rape from being committed on a 4 year old girl.

With so many POS-libs running things in Austin & Houston et al, I am thinking Texas is becoming more and more corrupted/liberal, despite all the friends and family I have in that great state. Hope I’m wrong and he walks, quickly.

Sure sounds like a ‘re-election ad’ in the works, to me, TF.

If I were on the jury and the evidence was exactly as stated in the article it would be the quickest jury deliberation ever for me.

If there was some stuipid law that they were accusing this man of who defended his daughter from the molester he killed I would be pushing for jury nullification of it besides pushing a nonguilty verdict.

Child molesters are ALWAYS sociopath type people who put the P in Predator Perverts. This predation aspect is a very dangerous thing as they seem to lack any sort of remorse and are usually repeat offenders.

I would say that the father could always claim the “mammal protecting it’s offspring defense”, as you NEVER WANT TO GET BETWEEN ANY MAMMAL AND IT’S OFFSPRING. Growing up on a farm I can tell you the good lord made all warmblooded animals more protective of their children than even themselves!

THAT IS INSANE! When the law is used against good men and women the system is completely broken! Especially when the multitude of laws are so plentiful and nebulous that they can be enforced selectively leading to their usage as political tools.

Oh boy. And the racists/race-baiters are trying to get the ‘stand your ground/castle doctrine’ laws overturned/revised etc. This isn’t going to end well, for any of us.

Our local talk radio folks have been giving this a LOT of time on air...

Discussions ranging from erecting a statue, have a parade, a holoday in the name of this father who defended his daughter have been put on the table...

Personally, I am not a father, but if I witnessed a person, regardless of sex, creed, color of their skin, sexual orientation, religion, whatever...

That is a dead person who was in an upright position only a nanosecond before I get done with them...That is not a threat, that is a promise...

God and I will have a discussion on the issue and my actions later...

Texas Penal code does afford the use of deadly force to stop a person(s) from continuing their criminal act upon a minor (child)...

They’re certainly going to take it to that point:

BTW, the Texas Civil Rights Project can go pound sand...

The civil rights of the little girl come first before the person (scumbag) was beaten to death to stop the attack from continuing...

I would say letting them (TCRP) needs to be called and reminded of that fact...There is no equality or demoting of the little girls rights in this case...

There was also a question to who the scumbag was, in relation to their status in this country, IIRC...That right there has been summarily left out of the media accounts of this incident...

I wonder why??? hmmmmmmm...
