Second Miss USA Contestant says she overheard list of Top 5 finalists before live announcement
Fox News ^ | 6-12-2012 | Hollie McKay

“I saw Florida backstage and she was very, very flustered and upset. I thought it might be because she didn’t make the top 15 cut, but at that point she was able to reveal to me at least four of the five names who went on to be the top girls,” the contestant, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FOXNews.com exclusively. “She couldn’t remember the fifth because she was so upset. Several of the girls then started hearing through the grapevine about a list; a lot of people were upset.”

-----

“Apparently the morning of June 3rd [Brez] saw a folder lying open to a page that said 'FINAL SHOW Telecast, June 3, 2012' and she saw the places for Top 5 already filled in,” Monnin wrote on her Facebook page. “After the Top 16 were called and we were standing backstage she hesitantly said to me and another contestant that she knew who the Top 5 were. I said 'who do you think they will be?' She said that she didn't 'think' she 'knew' because she saw the list that morning. She relayed whose names were on the list. Then we agreed to wait and see if that was indeed the Top 5 called that night. After it was indeed the Top 5 I knew the show must be rigged.”

I would imagine most anything with a panel of judges who determine the outcome could be rigged.

Its only mildly important because Trump is sueing Miss PA for saying there was a list. With these 2 coming forward, his suit is pretty shakey.

Other than that, who cares?

It’s meaningless to you, but not to the women who work hard ... .

Work hard?

Exactly what kind of work is that?

I AM SHOCKED, SHOCKED I TEL YOU !

What this requires is photographic evidence from the swimsuit competition.

Well those bodies don't just occur naturally.

Just like DWTS, no real talent, winners are determined by home voters. If it was a true talent dance show it would be up to the judges to declare a winner. But even then, there would be some collusion. Better that than a popularity show. No TV talent show winner is determined by talent alone.

Look for Senate hearings and a special prosecutor. Especially if the think they can go after Trump.

“Just like DWTS, no real talent, winners are determined by home voters. “

That’s only true to a point.

Just like AGT and AI, the producers have the last say as to who wins.

Pickup an AGT contract and you’ll find written in it that the producers of the show have the option of determining the winner.

Tie breaker or not..

All I know is that my wife and I thought four out of five of the finalists were serious poster prospects for Purina Dog Chow. Miss Michigan, a stunningly beautiful woman, didn’t even make it to the final ten.

I looked at that final five and I said, “Man, what’s going on here?” It was strange.

I’ll have to say, those judges looked as if Trump had picked them from the grade C level personalities. That guy Kardashian that they’re trying desperately to turn into a sex symbol was one of them. FAIL!!! About half of them were absolutely laughable.

Television has gone through plastic and is coming out the other side as surreal.

The questions to the finalists are so bizarre that you half expect them to ask, “Finalist number three, is it okay for people to marry their pets?” “Well, I don’t see why not. Pets are people too...”

Doesn’t the judging go way beyond what is shown on TV? (haven’t watched it in years) If I recall there are numerous events over the course of days. So it is conceivable the Finalist and winner are determined in advance of the Televised Dog and Pony show.

Nothing wrong with that other than the Contestants should be aware of it. Of course the problem comes in when the preordained Champion falls on her face during the Swimsuit Contest or answers a question like this poor girl.

For it to be rigged and then for Trump to sue a contestant who claimed as much is, however, an issue.

I remember back in the 1950s or early 1960s we were watching a LIVE TV broadcast of the Miss America Pageant.

The show still had an hour to and we flipped on the radio for some reason and found the winner had already been chosen and her name.

I never believed in LIVE broadcasts again.

My wife spotted this several years ago.

On America’s Got Talent, they promise the winner $1 million dollars. At the end of the show they have a disclaimer that reveals that million dollars will be paid out over 40 years.

Guess who made the finals Miss Mexico, the eventual winner, and Miss Phillipines.

I don't know about Miss Phillipines but based on my scientific analysis of programming on Univision and Telemundo, if there is ever a year Miss Mexico isn't in the top then she was robbed!

Yep.

There is also the ‘lump sum’ option of $300,000.

I am sick to death about all the liars, cheaters, adulterers, homewreckers, thieves, murderers in our culture.

AVOID THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS...”

May I add to your list:

Super Bowl XL = rigged.

I say that because the ref that did the game admitted that there were several blown calls that benifitted Pittsburgh.
