Blogger Vanderboegh reports 'game changer' DOJ whistleblowers have come forward
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 13 June, 2012 | David Codrea

Posted on 06/13/2012 6:02:46 PM PDT by marktwain

Sources described as "previously highly credible" and "close to the Gunwalker investigation" are claiming "one and perhaps two sources within the Department of Justice headquarters...have approached the Issa Committee seeking whistleblower status," Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars blog is reporting this afternoon in an exclusive story.

"One source, who reported that there were at least two of Eric Holder's subordinates who 'came in from the cold,' characterized them as 'high-level" DOJ employees 'with knowledge of Eric Holder's actions before and after" the 4 February 2011 DOJ letter denying that the DOJ and its subordinate agencies knew about "gunwalking," Vanderboegh writes, noting one source said the whistleblowers bring with them "the keys to the kingdom."

Calling the development "surprising," Vanderboegh further notes it "has re-energized the investigation staff, which was widely rumored to be floundering after the reluctance, not to say opposition, of the GOP leadership became known some months ago."

Exactly. You could see how upset Issa was with Holder during the latest congressional hearing. He obviously had the goods on Holder and couldn't stomach the lying and glib answers from him. Senator Cornyn reflected similar feelings.

I suspected then that they must have irrefutable evidence against this guy. They gave him plenty of rope.

Whoever else goes down with Holder, I hope it includes all the Republicans who voted to confirm him.

“gop leadership is doing what they do best... agreeing with and protecting their masters on the left.”

So true, Boner is such a disgrace! Never trust a man who cries about the inconsequential. We must hold out hope that the new crop of TEA Party folks that were elected to the House in 2010 haven’t been co-opted yet and will vote to elect a real set of leaders in the next Congress. It’s bad enough we have Marxist RATs, but to have RINOs who are their enablers is criminal! As others have postulated, the Wisconsin vote coupled with the anti-PE votes in San Diego and San Jose, have really started the Obama ball downhill and it’s speed is increasing with each passing day. More and more candy assed politicians are going to be jumping ship and it’s going to be fun to watch!

Our new faux TEA Party congresscritter Palazzo was co-opted within 10 minutes of his arrival in the District of Corruption. He told me and a friend that we right wing knuckle draggers, “Just don't understand how DC works”. We told him, “Yes we do... and we sent you there to change the way it works and to work with like minded people to move the ball in that direction”. He said, “I have to get positions on Committees so that I can bring home the bacon”. We said, “We don't want you to bring home the bacon... we want you to keep Mississippi's bacon from ever reaching DC”. He walked away. boner and mcconman are almost assured of their leadership positions. Never forget... the republicans hate us almost as much as the rats do... maybe more... but they love our money and they must have our votes.. but they hate us without a doubt.

For many politicians, the purpose of getting to DC is to get plugged into the network of insiders, and get the perks and fringe benefits of being a congress-critter: the inside info on how the economy will go, so your investments do well; the wining and dining by lobbyists; the cute young interns and lobbyist assistants, who are so eager the please; etc.

The problem is, you only get the perks as long as you play along. You can be as much of a lecher and as corrupt as you want -- as long as you please the real powers in DC the press will take no notice. The minute that you displease them by trying to oppose their agendas, however, all your past conduct goes under a microscope, and the accumulated files come out. This is why the longer politicians stay in DC, the more compromised they are.

As always, the question about why the left does what it does comes down to “evil or stupid?”

In this case, if the WB’s come out after, those voting in favor of Holder look stupid,
if before, they look evil.

As will I. I will say, though, that if Issa ALREADY has rock-solid evidence in hand, Congress may pretend that they have a pair, knowing they have a winning hand, and do something. If not, I, like you, expect nothing to happen.

That is a fantastic description if how our government institutions operate, if the press can’t dig up enough dirt they will manufacture it. Anyone opposing the DC machine get’s immediately Clintonized.

“He said, “I have to get positions on Committees so that I can bring home the bacon””

This is, at the core, what’s wrong with our government. Lets’ not close unneeded military facilities or terminate programs that are ineffective or not needed because a constituent might loose his or her job. So businesses that feed off the government are in reality more of those “government employees” FUBO talks about needing more of.
