Fury as HBO's Game of Thrones shows President George W. Bush's decapitated head impaled on a STAKE

Politicians are calling for a boycott of HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones after the creator's 'despicable' decision to include former President George W. Bush's severed head in several scenes.

In the tenth episode of the first season, Mr Bush's decapitated head is seen impaled on a wooden spike, covered in filthy long hair and slathered in dirt.

Show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who noted the appearance in the series' DVD commentary, insist it wasn't a political statement - just a prop.

But the image has provoked outrage among some Republican politicians.

A swat team would show up at a person's door. It takes liberals for this type of crude revulsive hateful demonization of conservatives. HBO should be cancelled by those repulsed by this show and sponsors permanently boycotted. How much liberal hatred inserted in TV shows and movies will it take before people get fed up with it once and for all?

If the Game of Thornes has no viewers, then the thorns are self-inflicted.

Hollywood has this primordial fantasy of Bush being killed. During his administration they made a movie about his assassination. Now his head on a stake. These people are pathological. Too much sun and drugs. They are very creepy people.

...Deep in the bowels of a historic monument in the nations capitol, there is a dungeon like facility. In that facility there is a sparsely decorated room. Upon notification of the seizure of the person who disrespected THE ONE, the enforcer, who has a particular `interest`, and close relationship with THE ONE gets involved. She appears dressed in a black hood, and jumpsuit, with only two eye slots. Her eyes glow red from behind the hood. "We will make you swear off Cheeseburgers. My pet spy Axelrod shall make sure of that, we will implant a microchip in you with every hamburger franchise address in the country. If you are within 50 feet of ANY fast food outlet you will feel immense pain. The will of THE ONE will be done." You are part of a grand people's experiment...This is your punishment for the disrespect.

Oh yes. Let's take the high road and stay above such low-minded ruffianism.

My ass. Where exactly did that sort of turn-the-other-cheek attitude get George W during his presidency? Permanent enshrinement in the Hall of Villainy. How did that affect the right? It tarnished us all by association, and led to the election of the most leftist president in American history.

No thank you. Never again. These scum sucking bottom feeders need to get a fist full of knuckles whenever they pull that crap on us from now on. I'm sick of us being their doormat.

The 3rd book is the best of the series so far - several jaw-dropping moments. I envy someone who gets to read it for the first time.

I’ve never watched the show — don’t have cable.

You haven't missed much. Some very good acting by Peter Dinklage, Charles Dance, Maisie Williams and others, but the liberties they're taking with the story have grown blatant.

For twenty years, the Left used the portrait of Reagan for the Two Minutes Hate. Since 2000, it’s been GWB’s portrait.

Christians use the Apostle’s Creed as an expression of faith. Leftists use the phrase, “I HATE GEORGE BUSH!!!”

When two people pass in the street, uttering that affirmation of faith identifies you as a New Socialist Man.

It can also be used at parties and social gatherings, to help get laid by hippie chicks.

Someone was bragging about the show to me recently, saying I should watch it. You just saved me the trouble.

Not that I’m “outraged”, because it takes more than some phony Hollywood poop-flinging to outrage me. But if they are that juvenile, how good can this show be? Really?

The monkees fling poop; you don’t get outraged. You maybe move back a bit from the edge of the pen, but you don’t get outraged. Its just monkees doing what monkees do.

Enjoyed the books and the first season, but I couldn’t stand paying for Bill Maher. Now I know to not ask my sister to DVR them to watch when I babysit.

BTW, if y’all are reading the books, the stories never end. 5,000 pages between them all and we’ve gotten nowhere. Save yourself the trouble, and start reading the series in 5-10 years. The series might be finished by then and we can see resolution of some sort.

I have watched all episodes and never saw that

The two producers are urban Jews who produce product for always progressive HBO and likely....odds are.....leftists

Hence maybe i missed it....

They did take the homo angle way too far....the rather graphic hetero sex is all harsh like one would imagine gay writers imagine straights knock boots

The fembot angle too

So typical HBO...

And the dwarf is the hero sorta

No one has much of a conscience

Its a post modern nihilistic interpretation of a medieval fairy tale

I like the blonde dragon girl

They did show balls on one score...they let the magic negro be a bad guy

There’s a meme about this. it has a leftist slant, but it’s still funny.
Stannis = Romney: Weird-ass Religion. next in line. no body wants him
Jeoffery =Gingrinch: Pint sized lump of pure evil. Strong on 2nd amendment. Terrible husband.
Tyrion=Colbert: Often underestimated as a joker. Too cool for the job. Would probably rock at it.
Daenerys=Palin: Comes from far away land. Wants to rule despite lack of qualifications. Uses her children to further her rise to power.
Robert=Clinton: Previous ruler. Legendary fondness for women. Married to ice cold blonde.
Ned Stark as Gore: Right hand man of previous ruler. Throne stolen. Always going on about climate change.

Let’s not take the bait.

I won't. The show is done very well and follows the books (so far). I have watched every episode from seasons 1 & 2 and will continue being a fan of the series (and first 3 books

None of it mattered before I knew that they had a prop that looked like W's head and won't matter now.

The books sure started off good ...

The books are good until you get to book 4. Read them and enjoy 1-3. After that, the main characters are just chasing each other around Westeros and there is no advance in the storyline. George R.R. Martin only had a certain amount of story in him and he ran out at #4.

I'm very interested to see where the series goes after season 3, if it is still on. He's not afraid to kill off his main characters.

I gotta know what happens!!!!

You and millions of other fans. Martin needs to finish the damn story! 4 & 5 are a waste of time. Book 4 introduces a whole series of new characters that have absolutely NOTHING to do with books 1-3.

He is off in la-la land and lost his way.

“but the liberties they're taking with the story have grown blatant.”

Indeed. It must be nice to have all the time and money in the world to tell the story THEY want to tell rather than the one written by George R.R. Martin.

They waste SO MUCH TIME with invented scenes.

I think the actress they have playing “Roz” is as hot as hell and a decent actress and is certainly sufficiently naked in most scenes (love redheads) - but as she is a character invented for the show (in a book with thousands of characters to chose from) EVERY scene with her is a total waste of time and effort and I DESPISE HER and recoil every time I see her pretty face!!!!!

The first season was good, and the deviations a minor annoyance. The second season, as if emboldened by the first, they have completely gone off the rails.

The deft scenes and dialog of the books is ignored - and awkward painful to watch and improbable scenes with bad dialog written to replace them.

Worth watching so far - but a far cry from what it should have been. What a waste.

They say a bad cook isn't satisfied until they have pissed in the soup. They don't care as much that it tastes like piss - so long as it is THIER piss.
