Despite receiving tremendous support from nearby residents who say he was justified in his actions, the Texas dad who beat his 4-year-old daughter’s alleged molester to death near Shiner, Texas is remorseful for taking a man’s life, KRIV-TV in Houston reports.

James Harrington, director of the Texas Civil Rights Project in Austin, said the dad had the right to “defend” his daughter but suggests he may have gone to far due to “anger.”

“Assuming it’s true that this guy was molesting the daughter, and we don’t know what exactly happened at this point, he would then have the right to defend [her], and hit him enough to have him stop,” Harrington told FoxNews.com. “But you cannot summarily execute him, even though I can understand the anger he would have.”

[I hope Mr. Harrington doesn't have a 4 y/o daughter.]

I’m sick to my stomach over “civil rights.” Civil rights are ONE SIDED to everyone except those who are affected. A white man does anything to anyone of color and the “colored person’s” rights have been violated.

How about the father’s right AND DUTY to protect his wife, his children, and his property from the likes of ne’er-do-wells?

I’m SICK of all this racist BS. It’s coming to a head, folks, and like it or not, they’re going to lose by numbers alone.

A story I posted earlier.

The so called civil rights leaders are conspicuously absent, I wonder why that is.

Oh f'cryin' out loud ... it's a friggin' honor killin' ... a REAL one, worthy of respect for the Dad forced into the position.

Too many words are being produced to talk about, explain or argue something that is at the core of every father's being concerning his children and especially girls ... if you EVER come near my kids ...

When the Dad initially attacked the molester, he was defending his own daughter.

when he killed the criminal, he was defending the daughters of every father of a girl in Texas.

This father is a great American.

God Bless you, Sir.

Mr. Harrington thinks that the dad should have summoned just the right amount of anger and aggressiveness to defend his daughter from a physical attack, but not go too far. Hmmm, maybe the dad should have paused to assess his physical strength versus that of the molester, asked the molester if he had any ailments that could make death more likely in a fight, agree to some rules, and then proceeded. This sounds like the dad is Israel, and Mr. Harrington is the U.N., demanding a perfect “proportional response”.

If I were on the grand jury, and that's all the salient facts of the case, I'd no-bill this guy so fast the prosecutor wouldn't have time to straighten his tie.

I don't know where the limits of "self-defense" are, necessarily, but they're not there.

“civil rights.”
The civil rights of perverts supercede the civil rights of normal people now! After all, they were born that way!

Three yards of black fabric enshroud my computer terminal. I am mourning the passing of an old friend by the name of Common Sense.

His obituary reads as follows:

Common Sense, aka C.S., lived a long life, but died from heart failure at the brink of the millennium. No one really knows how old he was, his birth records were long ago entangled in miles and miles of bureaucratic red tape.
Known affectionately to close friends as Horse Sense and Sound Thinking, he selflessly devoted himself to a life of service in homes, schools, hospitals and offices, helping folks get jobs done without a lot of fanfare, whooping and hollering. Rules and regulations and petty, frivolous lawsuits held no power over C.S.

A most reliable sage, he was credited with cultivating the ability to know when to come in out of the rain, the discovery that the early bird gets the worm and how to take the bitter with the sweet. C.S. also developed sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you earn), reliable parenting strategies (the adult is in charge, not the kid) and prudent dietary plans (offset eggs and bacon with a little fiber and orange juice).

A veteran of the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, the Technological Revolution and the Smoking Crusades, C.S. survived sundry cultural and educational trends including disco, the men’s movement, body piercing, whole language and new math.

C.S.’s health began declining in the late 1960s when he became infected with the If-It-Feels-Good, Do-It virus. In the following decades his waning strength proved no match for the ravages of overbearing federal and state rules and regulations and an oppressive tax code. C.S. was sapped of strength and the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, criminals received better treatment than victims and judges stuck their noses in everything from Boy Scouts to professional baseball and golf. His deterioration accelerated as schools implemented zero-tolerance policies. Reports of 6-year-old boys charged with sexual harassment for kissing classmates, a teen suspended for taking a swig of Scope mouthwash after lunch, girls suspended for possessing Midol and an honor student expelled for having a table knife in her school lunch were more than his heart could endure.

As the end neared, doctors say C.S. drifted in and out of logic but was kept informed of developments regarding regulations on low-flow toilets and mandatory air bags. Finally, upon hearing about a government plan to ban inhalers from 14 million asthmatics due to a trace of a pollutant that may be harmful to the environment, C.S. breathed his last. Services will be at Whispering Pines Cemetery. C.S. was preceded in death by his wife, Discretion; one daughter, Responsibility; and one son, Reason. He is survived by two step-brothers, Half-Wit and Dim-Wit.

Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Institute for Rational Thought.

Farewell, Common Sense. May you rest in peace.

Yes, see, the importance hierarchy is

1: the deceased’s race

2: Whether the father ever participated in anything that could be interpreted as racist

3: the civil rights of the deceased, especially if he was an illegal immigrant

4: the message it sends to racists everywhere if this father walks free or worse, remains unindicted.

5: the message it sends to child molestors everywhere as far the survivability of committing their acts of diversity and cultural exposition in rural areas where there may be few elements of law enforcement.

6: the message it sends to people who believe that they have the right to protect their daughter or their family from
criminal assault.

7: the rights of the daughter who never would have had to go through this ordeal had she been properly aborted.

They don’t want us to tell them what to do, but they want us to pay for their indiscretions. It’s like a child telling a parent, “No, I won’t clean my room, but I WILL take money to go to the movies with my friends.”

At some point the adults need to push back from the table, grab the child by his hair, slam him over the back of the couch, and redden his ass until he can’t sit.

If that means taking out a few thousand criminals by “summary execution,” as this idiot civil rights “leader” describes it, then so be it! They’re so quick to criticize a white man for killing an Hispanic rapist trying to defile his daughter, but they are absolutely mute when it comes to the handful of murders PER DAY in Chicago at the hands of their own “people.”

*spit* Fie on you and your house Mr. civil rights “leader.” Fix your own problems first you hypocrite!

Technically when the threat has been stopped.

The victim has to determine that however as they are the ones facing and dealing with the threat.

Would they be asking this if it was a woman being raped and she wound up killing the attacker? Do they ever ask that?

People shoot intruders all the time when the intruder hasn’t even put a hand on them (luckily).

I just love libs. Men hating all the way. Anything a guy does is wrong. Men suck any way you look at them. Now the dad is a bad guy too, because he defended his daughter from a pervert molesting her and the molester died. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

You know these are the same people that would criticize the guy if he didn’t kill the molester. “If it was MY daughter that guy would not have been left alive.”

And so what if there was anger. Cops respond in anger too. All people do. They are angry for being put in the situation, they are angry for having to have to defend themselves and others with force, they know it only makes their life more complicated from that point on. Just because there’s anger doesn’t mean the self defense isn’t necessary and the fact the pervert died while the dad was stopping the threat, doesn’t mean that was the intended result. That death is an unintended consequence of stopping the threat.

I love how these “Evolution Believing Liberals” ignore one of the strongest drives in Nature (besides sex, you know the one they love to flaunt in everyone’s faces as being natural and wholesome)and the drive that they ignore so much is the drive to protect one’s offspring.

One of the reasons they HAVE to abandon that drive is because in order to hold the sacred sacrement of abortion in so much reguard they have abandon one of the things that makes us a human animal and that is the drive to protect one’s offspring.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

I don’t care who is attacking my child or any other child, what religion or race they are, they are dead meat if they are doing harm or getting ready to do harm. That is an instance where a human who is not asleep and pacified by progressivism will go berzerk and rightly so to defend their own opffspring.

This is a genuine case of temporary insanity. They should charge him with manslaughter and bring it to trial. The jury will find him innocent because of temporary insanity and charges can not be brought against him again. Case closed.

This guy is on an island by himself.

Out of curiosity, I looked for this story on DU... The responses were very similar to what was on FR. Maybe a few more, “I'm not a violent person, but..”, but the overall consensus was pedophiles must die, and dad was a hero.

In this scenario it doesn’t quit being self defense until the molester is dead.
