I was in Navy bootcamp when the draft ended. I spent 4 years on Enterprise in the Tonkin Gulf Canoe Club and don't care one whit that Mitt has not served. He isn't a Marxist who hates everything good about America and that has to be adequate for the moment.
What ever attributes or lack of that Romney has, his military service is not part of the equation.

Pick Davis Petraeus as the VP candidate and Romney’s weaknesses in foreign policy, anti-terrorism and military affairs will be balanced.
I believe 1944, FDR v. Dewey was last time 2 non-veterans ran for President.

I know African records are sketchy but being a true patriot, I'm sure you must have made some effort.

My family arrived in the American Colonies and have served in the military from The War of Independence to the sands of Afghanistan. Keep your one generation of military service faux outrage to yourself, since you obviously cannot understand the ramifications of service to this country.
As a first generation American, what business is it of yours the military service of past generations of Americans? My ancestors served for all Americans present and future, not just for fellow veterans or a particular social strata. Phony? I'd say what is phony is your arriving on our shores and you deciding that because of Romney's linage, he is not fit to be President of the United States.
Claiming that Romney isn't fit to serve because of six generations of his family never served? Not in my America. You may be a naturalized citizen, but you have no idea of what being an American is.
