Well, howdy-do to you, too, FRiend.
I know a man who...was a junkie and was busted...went into rehab and is still drug free. He cannot even get a job ...because of his arrest, even though he has turned his life around 180 degrees.
Sorry he can't find employment but, this just in: Choices have consequences, no matter what some allegedly well-meaning liberal enablers might want to say or do in a quest to change that simple fact of life. So, maybe he'll have to work for someone (e.g. from church) who knows him enough to trust him. Or, maybe he'll have to be a day-laborer until the job market turns around. Or, perhaps he's confined to a lifetime of self-employment. There are worse fates.
Look at the stupid laws we have in this country; nobody in this country can go a whole day without breaking one of them
Okay, since we're talking about criminal records, ... Seriously, what dark corner of the world are you in where nobody can go a whole day? Regardless, your solution is to pass yet another stupid law prohibiting employers from discriminating against ANY ex-cons (rehabilitated or not)? So much for freedom. Just one more reason for employers to close their doors and relocate somewhere else.
And then we wonder why the recidivism rate is so high; they've been left with no other choice.
No other choice? See above. Then, if you continue enabling them with excuses, you might want to redirect that "haven't a clue" bit.
The good old sheeple Ewe Essay, I believe. Did you toss a flashlight battery or, worse, a curly bulb in the trash? Not recycle something you ought to have? (Most all this crap due to LIBERALS, by the way.) We should be thankful the government is not omniscient.
