Maybe they should sell the rights to Google?

Google could be a supplier not a buyer.

Yeah, right.
Until I do ANYTHING or try to run for office, then every stupid thing I ever put in writing will become public.
It's state sponsored data gathering for blackmail purposes and to make people afraid to speak out on public forums.
We have no idea what will be illegal or "suspect" speech in the near future.

They took Orwell’s cautionary tale, and used it as a bloody instruction manual.

Brilliant!

The only way to prevent government from violating the privacy of its citizens is to prevent them from having the means to do so in the first place.

As a pro-American conservative and ex-military, I will never understand why you thought the Patriot Act was a good thing.

There is widespread, cross-political anger at this.
Many conservatives oppose this.

In order to sign the Patriot Act 226 years later.

Good move.

Home Office Secretary Theresa May said that only evil-doers should be frightened. "Our proposals are sensible and limited," she wrote. Unless you are a criminal, then you've nothing to worry about from this new law."

How can I help seeing what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four." "Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane."

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever."

- George Orwell, 1984

Just the term “Home Office” is so Orwellian.
The most powerful agency of the British Government named as if it were a discount office supply store.

Sounds like my idea for Obama Care. Government employees at all levels should beta test it first.
