Mike Huckabee told the crew at Fox & Friends this morning that he understood his stance on immigration was not particularly popular among Republicans, and he didn’t support and executive order for it, but the policy President Obama tried to implement for young undocumented people was something he had also attempted to pass in Arkansas. “You don’t punish a kid for what his or her parents did,” he argued, saying the policy was not a “job-killer.”
“The content itself, the goal, it’s an admirable thing,” Huckabee argued, adding that he had “tried to pass a similar measure in Arkansas,” but it failed in Congress and he let it lie. “It never occurred to me that I could simply bypass the legislature and do what I wanted to do,” he added, calling it “basic constitutional 101,” so much so that the President had previously said himself that he could not pass the bill along.

Congress has had the opportunity to act on this legislation, time and time again. They have passed certain laws and decided not to pass other bills, including one much like this latest Executive Order.
So how does the President have the authority to administer a law the Congress has specifically chosen not to pass?
The answer is that he doesn’t. That is the only question here. Any discussion about who should and should not be permitted into the country is irrelevant.
The Huckster, Rubio and especially 0bama can go to hell. If they don't like this law, or any law, they are free to introduce legislation to have the law amended or repealed. In the mean time, the usurper swore (twice presumably) to uphold The Constitution and the laws of the United States, INCLUDING immigration laws. Failure to do so is an impeachable offense!

No matter how "admirable" or worthy the cause or the rhetoric, if the Constitutional restraint on the coercive power of government officials is violated, then it is unconstitutional and wrong.
Tennessee Congressman Davy Crockett made a speech on the floor of the Congress called "Not Yours to Give" about an incident during his tenure which summarized such an idea here.
We are letting the left win this, “You aren’t compassionate” argument.

This kind of thinking is ok for individual, but not for anyone in a position with power. If you are elected to an office, you are obligated to uphold the law.
That ‘comapssionate’ streak in a politician (in this case, Huckabee’s pardon of criminals) led to said criminals committing further crimes and more victims lost their lives. How do you compensate for that? Where do you draw the line?
Huckabee’s of the world do not care and did not think through the consequences of their compassionate actions, they only want to FEEL GOOD about themselves.

The 14th Amendment, INTENDED by the drafters to ONLY grant citizenship to emancipated slaves by overturning the Dred Scott decision, has been tortured beyond recognition by the radical left to also include so-called “anchor babies” born to Latinas who stroll across the border to download junior HERE to bypass all the normal immigration processes described above. As an intern in a San Diego ER, my late niece caught many of those babies as part of her OB/GYN training.
By executive fiat, today Obama just took the first step to COMPLETELY open our borders (trust me, it is the first step only!) A Latino “immigration lawyer” on FNN this morning said that if Congress doesn’t like it, they can change the law. He went on to say “THEY DON’T HAVE THE GUTS.” Sadly, he’s right. But if these clowns on Jenkins’ Hill think those latinos (legal and illegal) are going to vote for the GOP, they should be careful to not let their minds wander: They’re too small to be out alone.
Not that it would do any good, I called my congresscritters’ (202-224-3121) this morning to ask when they plan to offer Articles of Impeachment for this, the Law of the Seas Treaty, the activities of Holder, et al, the waste of taxpayer bucks on the green jobs idiocy, etc., etc. I’ll spare you the entire list as it runs to a few hundred pages. If impeachment is not their plan, I asked them to have the decency to RESIGN as the first branch of this government is clearly no longer needed and Obama could use the bucks saved to help buy the coming “election” or perhaps resume his taxpayer funded World Tour.
Bottom line? If you are STILL unconvinced that this guy is a clear and present danger to YOUR way of life, you probably live in a refrigerator crate behind a vacant warehouse. And if that is NOT your current living condition, re-elect this guy and it shortly will be.

I think Romney needs to keep focus on making things better for legal Americans. I believe that Obama has misjudged the opinion of the American public in doing what he did.

This is yet another reason Boehner must be replaced as SOH...He should be out in the media discussing impeachment over this, not only against Obozo, but against ANY cabinet secretary that attempts to implement any of this BS. Not only is one not obligated to follow an illegal order, one can be prosecuted for doing so. This should be made abundantly clear to Obozo’s appointees.
I believe that the House, or a group from the House, has standing to submit an emergency request for mandamus from the Supreme Court.
That might be an effective cure for the attempted "silent coup."
The Congress (both houses) has no obligation to pass laws demanded by the Executive.
The Executive, on the other hand, has no authority to ignore laws legally passed by the Congress. None.
Even morons can grasp that distinction.
