Concur. I think all European countries would be better off if they rule themselves. Going back to muliple currencies will be annoying, but its a small price to pay. The EU buresucracy in Brussels (as well as the UN) is probably quaking in their boots over this.

The goal was to set up the Euro as the world's reserve currency: crash the dollar, and buy American assets cheap with printed money without inflationary consequence. They couldn't sustain the welfare state long enough for America to implode.
