Former U.S. House Speaker and one-time presidential candidate, Newt Gingrich, spoke to a crowd of over 500 Republican supporters at a GOP Convention today in Missoula.
"We should in fact speak well of our dreamer-in-chief. Now he can't run the economy, he ca't defend the country, he doesn't understand the Constitution, he surrounds himself with radicals who are out of touch with reality, but those are minor things," says Gingrich.
"Just ask people, can they afford four more years of Barack Obama? I don't think ther's a town in this state that thinks that four more years of the pain level we've been in is a good idea," adds the former Speaker of the House.

unless the rules changed since the 1950s when I served YOU HAVE TO BE A LEGAL RESIDENT TO SERVE IN THE MILITARY.
I don't think that the rules have changed. I recall a recent news item a few years ago where some Mexicans asked our Embassy in Mexico City if they could join our (U.S.) military. The answer was thanks but no.

Newt....has the ability to speak without a teleprompter, thinks on his feet. Funny....trying to recall the last time Newt sputtered I, Uhm, ER, ME, ER, UM, I, Ugh, UH, ME, then proceeded to spew lie after lie.
So, why the heck didn’t more people vote for Newt? He has his baggage, but Romney has at least as much baggage.
Newt has excelent ideas. But when you have the GOPe and RINOs out with the sharp knives during primaries - and the entire media including FOX on bloody Thursday right before the Florida primary just pummeled Newt. And why???

I am not sure I remember all the wherefores and howdy doos, but my buddy’s German wife did not get citizen ship till many years after she had joined the military and did not meet him until years after she joined. Knew another dude who was Guatemalan or something he became a citizen while in.
This just makes me sad all over again.

I believe that the children of these ILLEGAL aliens were subject to deportation and now they are not (neither are their parents BTW, I hear)..
if the kids are not legal residents and therefore cannot serve in the U.S. military I just wish we could make it generally known.
Those folks so dependent upon taxpayer-subsidized cheap labor (and the folks in the "immigrant" rights industry) just love to challenge you with, "Well you support our military don't you? And they served while you did nothing. Why don't you leave?"
The conservative vote was split in too many directions, particularly on social issues. But I really fault Santorum for withholding any support from Newt, and RuPaul for staying in and gleefully flexing his muscles with millions of fanatics.

He’s a dictator, the rest of the government DOESN’T MATTER at all, they can say whatever the hell they want, including Newt, none of it matters.

Yeah, since Santorum always lead in the state count. Newt should have dropped out after Santorum won in Minnesota, Colorado and Missouri.
But he didn’t and because he stayed in we have Romney. Thanks Newt! Not forgetting that one anytime soon.
At least I can still support Virgil Goode, who is both pro life and pro traditional marriage unlike Romney.

He’s a smart man, but damn, he’s said and done so many stupid things.
1, supporting global warming and the warmists when it was trendy. No, Newt, where I come from you don’t fraternize with the enemy, and you don’t give them Oxygen.
2, supporting Obamacare in principle, “scrap it for my plan which *fixes* the problems”. No, Newt. You nuke it from orbit because it’s the only way to be sure.
3, his massive cuts to the military under clinton while increasing domestic spending at twice the rate of inflation. You want to talk about his accomplishments in ‘94, then why was he increasing domestic spending so fast? The only place he really cut back was the military which was 50 percent smaller on the budget when he left (after adjusting for inflation).
4, what he did with wife number one. We’re going to have him on the stand preaching about how it’s important to defend marriage? If the man couldn’t do it himself, then I don’t see how he can be an effective spokesperson for traditional marriage.
5, you have articles like this one:
“Gingrich still supports abortions in the cases of rape, incest and danger to the life of the mother. “He would allow for the three exceptions,” campaign spokesman R.C. Hammond said Monday”
This was as of November 28th of last year. He goes on to say:
“But Gingrich has switched his position on federal funding. He now thinks the government should not ask taxpayers to pay for any abortions, Hammond said.”
Well, gee, howdy. Welcome on Board Newt. About damn time.

So, yes. You want to know why I didn’t get behind or support Newt?
This is why. Plain and simple. The man’s position changes in light of his presidential campaign were opportunistic and shallow.
Here is a little secret: Newt is in touch with the Romney campaign. Oars are in the Conservative waters.
I noted the drastic decline of our once wonderful country into Communism when I returned from VietNam.
Maybe it was because because my eyes had been opened while serving, or possibly because I had something to compare our once glorious country to and saw what we would become.

Because establishment folks like Matt Drudge and Ann Coulter decided to wage an information war on Newt Gingrich. Both have lost the respect of conservatives (well most... I’m sure Innovative loves both of them).
