Romney woos Christian conservatives, gets Santorum support
MSNBC ^ | June 16, 2012 | NBC News

Republican Mitt Romney paused Saturday during a campaign bus stop in Pennsylvania to touch base with Christian conservatives.

Obama's health care plan "attacks freedoms" and "raising taxes attacks freedoms," Romney said. The Obama administration's decision on contraceptive coverage "attacks our first freedom - religious freedom," he said.

He credited former rival Rick Santorum with touting three "best predictors" for happiness and good finances: be married, graduate from high school and get a job.

Santorum, a return visitor to the Coalition conference, said he has "no doubt" Romney understands the "centrality of family."

The former Pennsylvania senator urged the audience to help Romney win.

Yes. It was a totally phony setting. Romney’s bus had stopped (ha) in a rural area and he and the old geezer are sitting in lawn chairs chatting.

In the background behind Romney is a farm and some critters are wandering around grazing.

I eventually decided they must be goats as they weren’t big enough to be cows.

RE :”Does it mean Santorum is trustworthy?

Who cares? He lost the primary so he is irrelevant now. We got a real liberal in charge of the R party now. Worry about RS on the next R primary.

RE “he [Romney] would replace it with a sweeping amnesty bill.If you want to have a discussion with me, you have to start by telling the truth. Romney has never said he wants a “sweeping amnesty” bill. He wants an immigration bill that starts with closing the borders. The vast majority of real conservatives agree with that.

Your Democrat in Republican’s clothing Romney is only upset that he is not getting credit for this action by Obama. That is why he was on NBC FTN complaining how so many illegals are left out of Obama’s action, Boo-Hoo-Hoo. Now Obama has him against the Dream Act (back in the primary) and now saying this more limited Obama act doesn't go far enough in amnesty.

Also this Obama act has no path to citizenship and voting, unlike the Rubio plan that Romney will push, That will be national suicide.

I would have more respect for Romney if he ran in the Dem party where he belongs.

RE :”IT MEANS RICK ISN'T TRUSTWORTHY - He has been in mitt's pocket all along - he needs a meal ticket and will bow to evil anytime, anyday for it. And he's deceive voters - that's a cake walk for rick and he proved it. Enjoy it now rick, eternity is forever.

I see Newt is sucking up to Romney and backtracking on his prior criticisms too.

He went on his buddy Sharpton’s show early last week. It wasn't pretty. Al kept slapping him around while Newt kept playing "Can't we just get along?"

How can God bless this nation when BHO and Romney reject
Jesus Christ is Lord, second person of the Blessed Trinity,
always was, always will be?

How can God bless this nation when both men act against
God supporting abortion, furthering it~~!! And the same for
sodomy?

Everyone pretends like it’s not true. Pray, God can change events. He has before, we know from history.

It happens in history, we’ve seen it. Pray for a miracle,
then God can act.

How can this country settle, a choice between two men who are not of God?

Messages from Jesus given a Chosen Child in Chicago.

June 13, 2012 (10:00am)

Tell My beloved children to stay aware of all that is happening in your government. Now that summer is here, the people behind the scenes will be planning new ways to deceive you since they know you will be distracted by all activities that summer brings. You must be aware of what they are up to. There will be plans to get the races stirred up against one another. Even if they have to contrive ways for this to happen they will do it. They have to have an excuse for calling Marshall Law so the elections can be stopped. As you have been told before, all their efforts will be in vain. The powers behind the scenes will be at a loss as what to do next to achieve their agenda which they have been working on for years. My dear children, it is your PRAYERS and SACRIFICES that are causing their defeat. They still think they will be able to maintain their control but will be devastated when it doesn’t happen. My dear ones, the man you have been praying for is still in need of more prayers. It will take a strong will and supernatural courage to take on the presidency but he will do it. I want all My beloved children to make a stronger effort to get these messages out to as many as you can. Don’t worry about the messages being received by some. It isn’t up to you to get them to believe that is up to the Lord. Just do as I request and leave everything else to Me.

I love you, Jesus.

“But after 4 years of Romney, will we want 4 more years?”

Time will tell, plus we could STILL have 4 more years of Obama, which will be a disaster if that happens.

I’m not happy about Romney, but it’s going to be Obama or Romney. Time for choosing.

Rick Santorum walked the walk with two children. How many of us can say that?

~ ~ ~

Whenever I would hear Santorum’s voice, on the radio, once, I saw him speak in person. I thought, this is a man of God.

It seems all is lost now, no, keep praying, say a prayer
every day for God’s candidate. Maybe, it’s someone else,
I don’t know. I do know...

I am not going to cast a vote for a pro-abort.

Father Pavone, of Priests for Life, said we should at least LIMIT evil, and that made sense to me.

Whatever you decide to do, please pray for God’s guidance first, and I will do the same.

I appreciate your kind reply. I am going to pray for the
“miracle.”

Why do we have to settle for “at least LIMIT evil”..?
People are fooling themselves, they are quite aware of
Romney’s flip flops.

If Romney can’t even figure out a basic of the faith, a
basic all Christians believe, how is he going to help
our nation?

I pray for Mitt Romney’s conversion.

sickoflibs and I have been burned too many times, and Romney has flipped too many times, to put on rose-colored GOP glasses now. I hope Romney turns out better than I think he will, but I kind of ****ing doubt it.

I started out being what they call ABO.

I would never vote for Obama and failing to vote for Romney accomplishes the same thing.

But the more I see and hear of Romney the better I’m liking him.

I think he’ll turn the economy around and make a good president.

He won’t make a perfect president, but I think he’ll be just fine.

Mitt is benefiting from a kind of reverse halo from Barack. Barack is so willfully and egregiously odious that anything half normal from Mitt looks like heavenly manna itself.

Stay alert, keep your powder dry. Mitt may be a finger in the dike but it still badly needs patching. (To shamelessly mix metaphors.)

Our November votes are not for nominating anybody to sainthood. The primary is where that kind of scrutiny ought to be applied. And there were a good handful of hopefuls that just about everyone agreed were better than Mitt. Getting the herd of cats to come together on one was a different story. I’m sore that Sarah Palin didn’t toss her hat into the ring, as if she had we almost certainly wouldn’t be having this sort of discussion now. But I’m not sore at Sarah, who knew how much she could bear. I’m sore at the Rats who punked her family eight ways from Sunday, and at the lukewarm GOP response to these scurrilous Rat attacks.

Not me...I don’t have kids (thankfully). That’s really no excuse for embracing a pro-death candidate for president, though. Politics before principles? Ick.

RE :”sickoflibs and I have been burned too many times, and Romney has flipped too many times, to put on rose-colored GOP glasses now. I hope Romney turns out better than I think he will, but I kind of ****ing doubt it

One thing for sure. Romney has no reason to be honest if we were to all join his troll army Rove, Grahamnesty and McCain in party amnesia over what Romney promised to win the primary and his trying to flip now to beat obama.

Romney was for ‘self deportation’ during the primary and he used it as a club to beat over Perry and Newt's heads. Now he and his team (Rove, Grahamnesty and McCain ) are talking sweeping immigration reform (ala Bush-Pelosi 2007) with a path to citizenship. Yes, I know Romney is trying to say as little as possible about what he would do as POTUS to beat Obama, what choice does he have now?

Notice the Romney team : Rove, Grahamnesty and McCain all came out for more expansive immigration reform this weekend, yet not one of those lying RINOs who endorsed him questioned Romney's ‘self-deportation’ during the primary.
