BALTIMOREA Maryland man faces trial in a $9.1 million fraud case that is shedding light on problems in a renewable energy credits program run by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Federal prosecutors accuse Rodney Hailey of Perry Hall of selling renewable fuel credits even though his company, Clean Green Fuel LLC, did not produce any renewable fuel. Instead, prosecutors say he pocketed the money and bought Ferraris and other luxury cars, as well as tractor-trailers, homes, jewelry and computers.

This guy is a genius.
It’s the idiots that bought into it that should have have their heads examined.
Since its a scam how can he be accused of scamming a scam?
It makes no more sense than the Nigerian Scam!
If I were him I’d demand that they prove what fuel is “renewable.” Are they talking about burning magazine subscriptions? insurance policies? A good lawyer could have a lot of fun with this.
as Issa proved- everything is a “green job”.

I agree I think he got the general idea of the program just about right. It's supposed to be a rip off.
They are all bogus energy credits
Didn’t they get a bit suspicious when he drove up in a Ferrari instead of a Chevy Volt?
bump
why are any more bogus than the rest??? they are ALL a bogus scam...
Newsflash!!!
They are ALL BOGUS!
Again Liberals want to be judged by their not their results.
Suckers. Imagine if the worldwide energy credit exchange had gotten off the ground..
Not one ounce of sympathy here.
Right now I’m announcing I’m in the energy indulgence (OOPS, credit) business. I have two large dogs, on an 85 lb. Pitador and the other a 102 lb. Great Dane. As you might surmise, they fart a lot. I will generously well each of you my credits at a mere $100 apiece and use the proceeds to buy Beano and other essentials. Each certificate will be nicely printed on m ink jet printer and will bear the genuine paw prints of each of my dogs. WHAT A DEAL, YOU’RE IN ISRAEL.
In other words, he put 'energy credits' to better use than so called legit companies who sell them?
Was his name Albert Gore Junior, professional crazed sex-poodle?
For every $20 you give me, I promise to spend it fully on recycled products like used books, records, and DVDs.
Just doin’ my part.
It’s green. It’s clean. It’s even non-existent!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Exactly! The whole man-can-control-the-climate scam is the biggest hoax in the history of mankind. So the man scammed some people stupid enough to buy carbon credits? The buyers of the credits had more money than sense. I read where one man was interested in some infidelity credits. Has anyone started that market yet?
