Gun Values - This Week on Gun Talk Radio

Mandeville, LA – It’s gun values, an Olympic nominee, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

Steve Fjestad, publisher of the ever-helpful and expanding Blue Book of Gun Values, visits Gun Talk on Sunday with news on changes to the website, including more mobile access and enhanced search capabilities. There’s ever a new web address - www.bluebookofgunvalues.com. Fjestad will also answer a few gun value questions from Gun Talk listeners.

Even though the 2012 Summer Olympics start in a little over a month, athletes like Nick Mowrer from Butte, Montana, are still qualifying for a spot on the U.S. Shooting Team. Over a three-day competition in Ft. Benning, GA, Mowrer finished second in the Men’s 50m Free Pistol, and will join his training partner and teammate, Darryl Szarenski, in London. For more on all of the members of the U.S. Olympic Shooting Team, visit http://www.usashooting.org/.

Enter to win the June Gun Talk giveaway from Action Target at http://www.guntalk.com/contest. The Grand Prize is a $1500 gift certificate to use at http://www.actiontarget.com/!

Changed my mind on the LCP. Going to go with the Keltec P-3AT at 8.3 ozs. Wanted their P32 at 6.6 ozs but commie Merryland outlaws their sales.

I purchased one of these recently, and was very pleased. Whatever their cushioning material is, it works! Only .5" thick, but cut the felt recoil WAY down on my Mosin-Nagant.

Anything that reduces recoil on the old Mosin Nagant is most welcome.

Wound up joining Izzak Walton Friday with Clint Jr. The family dues is $199 so it’s like $100 a piece and he’s a full member...$150 was for single membership. And their not commies like I thought.

I think you will like the P-3AT. I have one, and I think it serves the purpose it was designed for. Minimum self-defense weapon that is easily totally concealable.
When I first got it, on the reccomendation of another FReeper I had a gunsmith do a "fluff and buff" after I had put a couple of boxes of ammo through it. It hasn't given me any jams, feed problems, etc. Let us know what you think of yours when you've put it into service.

Being as lightweight as it is, I’ll admit it does bark a bit. Fortunately, the .380 round is mild enough that it won’t abuse you like say, a .357 airweight would!

I don’t mind the noise. I was wondering if it’s a hand smacker. Like will I get a blister if I put 100 rounds through it in one sitting?

The local gun shop “monopoly” only has it in an OD green frame and blued slide.

Trying to decide if I want a colored gun.

HMMM. I think a hundred rounds at one sitting might blister ya, and it would for sure give your wrist a workout. Oh, that reminds me. Be sure not to limp wrist the little devil. Give it a good strong grip to resist and it will do just fine.

Probably not - unless you have “0bummer-softie hands” - but your forearm & bicep will *talk* to you in the morning.

You can limp wrist a Glock and it will jam too. Watched several YouTubes on the P-3AT and it didn’t seem that jumpy, I’m a little disappointed it’s how you say. BTW, what is the trigger pull like? Is it a long pull? And does it have “stop rest” before it fires like a Glock?

It was good enough for Jack Bauer on ‘24’, I have one, and that end pocket might accomodate it. There are also lots of cool compartments inside:

“Hellboy” had a large holster for this one:

Bet these folks could make one for you:

On what basis? Or does Maryland even need a reason?

That would be fun in a lever action rifle.I have a lever-action Winchester in .45-70.

That's 405 grains of projectile running at 1675+ FPS.

It gets less fun to shoot the older I get.
