Skip to comments.Richer Than Romney: Jon Stewart Hides Mansions Under Pet's Names
Posted on 06/18/2012 8:56:02 AM PDT by STARWISE
Jon Stewart, the left-wing star of the low-rated "Daily Show," might not be richer than Romney today, but the pace he's currently on means that someday he may very well be.
Of course that means nothing to Stewart as he continues to carry Obama's water and launch divisive class warfare attacks from the platform of a super PAC known as Comedy Central to attack Mitt Romney's wealth.
Though Stewart distances himself from the one-percenters and bellows over their extravagance, his bank accounts bear all the marks of the multi, multi, multi, multi millionaires he mocks. The 49-year-old Stewart, born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz, makes more than 300 times the median American salary, owns three luxury homes and sometimes doesnt pay his taxes.
While $80 million doesnt yet put Stewart into the same wealth bracket as Romney, he is already on pace to be richer than the former Massachusetts governor when he reaches his age.
At his current earning rate, The Daily Show hosts net worth will be $320 million by the time he turns 65 Romneys current age. And that total doesnt include increases in property value or other assets Stewart might accumulate.
Stewart also owns three opulent mansions and, get this, hides these assets under fake names: He doesnt technically own those homes: Using a trick mastered by countless one-percenters, the properties were purchased by private trusts. Stewarts trusts are named after his pets.
The super-wealthy often make big-ticket purchases through trusts in order to protect their other assets from lawsuits, diminish estate tax liability, and avoid public scrutiny.

But Stewarts own income level brings him and his wife Tracey approximately $41,000 a day. The celebrity income-handicapping website Celebrity Net Worth lists his annual salary as $15 million and estimates his net worth at $80 million."
Typical lib hypocrisy. Don't they understand they can't hide anything anymore from the new media??? LOL ...
Breitbart is here!
Snotty Leftists who belittle Americans are a dime a dozen. This Democrat court jester has a very small audience. Only his Leftist network bosses think he is worth all these millions, financed by companies stupid enough to sponsor his show. Corporations obviously don’t know who their enemies are. They deserve to go broke.
“...the left-wing star of the low-rated “Daily Show””
Someone will have to explain this to me.
Amazing what the bounty of America pays no talent schmucks like Leibowitz, who have the right....ahem ...friends.
It’s not hypocrisy when they do it.
So the rumor is true that he bought in Red Bank. I know that area quite well and while it’s nice it ain’t worth the money he paid for it. Better he bought in Middletown or Rumson.

Sorry libs, the new media isn’t going to back off.
You don’t get it, liberals think it’s okay for THEM to be rich, they just don’t want anyone else to be rich.
He’s a 1%er. wow.
Hypocrisy remains the top plank of the libs platform.
Not one Media outlet will pick upon this , and even if they did it would not matter to those who drink the Kool aid.
Good post. Love Brietbart.
Good post. Love Brietbart.
Not all deceivers are libs but all libs are deceivers.
As I’ve stated several times on the forum, any mention of giggles-Lebowitz should be preceeded by “failed actor...”
As in ‘Failed actor Jon Lebowitz Daly can’t find his arse with either hand.’
Somebody pays Jon Stewart $15 million a year? He’s worth fifty or sixty cents.
Geez....if I was sitting in the audience at his show, and they passed around a hat to pay him, I’d put in a quarter and take out two dimes change.
“Yeah but I earn my wealth.” so does everyone else Jon.
“Yeah but I’m not rich, everyone else is.” So your 80 million just doesn’t buy as much as Romney’s 80 million.
“I’m a liberal and support liberal causes, I deserve my money.” So if we’re all not like you we don’t deserve our money Jon?
“I need more money, I have larger expenses than people who make less.” Yes but that’s only because you make large purchases of voluntary, optional items and services.
“I pay my taxes.” Apparently you don’t, hiding your assets under the names of your own pets, Jon.
“But I think and do and say the proper (left) things, I ought to be able to keep my money.” Not when what you think and say and do takes money out of others’ hands but not your own, Jon, because you somehow think you’re special and exempt from Obama’s redistribution mentality. Hey Jon, spreadin’ the wealth around is a good thing, remember?
Hypocritus Liberalus. aka Jon Stewart.
The little snot doesn’t even use his real name on TV. Ashamed to be Jewish, “Stuart”?
The classic liberal hypocrisy of being very much a part of the group you claim to hate (that '1%') but making a big show of opposing anyone who may support the concept of making a lot of money and keeping most of it instead of handing it over to the government. This has been going on forever with the left, including FDR and all of the Kennedy family.....specifically the late Edward 'Ted' Kennedy and definitely including 'Gigolo' John Kerry. Multimillionaires that justified their great wealth because they were 'fighting' for 'the poor'. Yeah, right. 'Fighting' from their yacht. Lying hypocrites.
================= Agree with you.
So, let's keep this article BTTT every chance we get and get it rubbed into every liberal’s nose that we can.
Email it, FACEBOOk it, Twitter it.
Leave it on your seat after getting off the subway/bus, etc.
I would say write an opinion piece for your newspaper but what a waste of time that would be.
Unless you live in a small community, with a small population and small newspaper. Might have a better chance at coverage.
And, then the small time community will send it to conservatives and liberals they know in bigger communities.
Maybe like a chain letter only not a chain letter because I think chain letters are illegal - unless maybe is involved.
Flash Mob it.
Has Jon Stewart responded to this yet?
Thank God for Breitbart.
