If it was money donated to me under those circumstances, your damned right I would.

LOL, big deal.

I’m not sure how much funds were in the donor account.

I will say that if we hold to the tenet of condemning him because he used those funds to save his solvency under this onslaught, we have guaranteed that the Left can always destroy us.

Very few people could stand up to this onslaught.

Think of the next people who are tasked with keeping a neighborhood safe. Hell, I’d let people pick the place clean before I’d submit myself to this.

Could it have something to do with preparing to go into hiding and wanting to make sure that outstanding bills that had to be paid routinely were taken care of rather than being forwarded and giving away the couple’s location?

Of course, but that doesn’t support the “skimming” they were told about in the last Trayvon focus group meeting.

Shellie Zimmerman offered to call the person who could tell the judge exactly how much was in the account. Angela Corey “conveniently” edited that part of the transcript out when she filed the complaint asking bail to be revoked.

It is Angela Corey, not Shellie Zimmerman, who should have been arrested for deceiving the court.

But hey, what’s the use of having a position of power if you don’t use it to commit crimes for political purposes? /s

And especially do you broadcast your financial transactions to somebody in a position of power (who is recording you and you know it) who has exhibited a desire and willingness to butcher both the truth and the law for political goals?

If the Zimmermans were cops this would have been a perfect sting operation to catch Angela Corey in both entrapment and perjury.

Well, at least now the Zimmermans know what they’re dealing with.

When will Angela Corey get the Nifong consequences - before, or after, she destroys more people’s lives?

Holy crap! You just won't stop, will you?

Argue, argue, argue one point 'til you're hoarse and other people have proven your argument fatally flawed. So now you pull another one out of your craw, and will argue, argue, argue it, until it's disproven as well. Don't you have a halo that needs polishing or something?

I'm disgusted reading this thread and the comments from "righteous" people who act like everything they say is Gospel Truth because they heard half a story or read half a sentence of a story two months ago.

And what pray tell is Zimmerman supposed to do after losing his job and being unable to work? Lose everything he has and go bankrupt? That money was raised to help him out; nothing wrong with him using it to pay bills. If he comes out of this acquitted, but ruined financially, then the bastards will have still won. I suspect that’s what the judge and dingbat prosecutor had in mind when they made this as issue.

Not only lost his job but his college asked him to not return.

He’s become radioactive with angry black racists wanting to mow him down. A no-weapons school (if typical of the chicken institutions in this Ewe Essay) would certainly consider him sitting duck bait.

Ultimately it is racial grievance mongers which have pushed Mr. Z. into the pickle. Nonetheless, God (here I go again talking about such highfalutin stuff /sarc) wants even martyrs to conduct themselves honorably.

Amen to that!

I don’t know the motivations behind George and Shelley so some of the questions will just have to wait.

I DO know the motivations behind Angela Corey.

And I know that she edited out from the court record the critical part of Shelley’s testimony, which was live and recorded so people had a way to catch her at it. If she was willing to do that, I have no doubts that she would be willing to edit out parts from a secret phone recording that nobody CAN hold her accountable on.

The trust issue does come into account for Zimmermans. But it also comes into account for Angela Corey, and of the 2 court filings I know of that she filed.... TWO have been perjurious. If I had to choose whether to trust her account or the Zimmermans’, I’d trust the Zimmermans in a heartbeat, given their respective track records.

For anyone interested in fact, here is a story from April 10, 2012, with an enlargeable screen-cap image of the George Zimmerman website page being argued not-so-flawlessly by many here.

It clearly reads, "for living expenses and legal defense..." For all to read and digest.

i want to know where is Zimmerman’s attorney? I know he’s fighting in court but damn he better realize this is a case that needs to be fought in the media as well. He should have associates sending out releases about the website containing the words living expenses along with Z’s statement about using the money for bills etc.

O’Mara had no issue being on TV discussing the Casey Anthony case where is his TV presence on this? Again, he needs to at least fight some of these media/pr tactics by the POS prosecutor.

You will now link for all of us a contemporaneous story on Zimmerman’s original website quoting its wording and countering the stories put up when his site went live which all show he asked for living expenses.

Personally, I think you can post mo such link because you are typical viking kitty fare, but go ahead. Come up with a link. Prove the crap you are spouting isn’t typical made up leftwing vomit.

Wrong. The website specifically primised that "every nickel" would go to legal expesnses. That's fraud, however you rationalize it.

I think you may be in serious (and character-damaging) error. When you look at what Yahoo Published (click on the link on Post 34 above) where Zimmerman writes regarding his first appeal:

===================

George Zimmerman launches website for donations via PayPal for legal, living expenses

By Dylan Stableford, Yahoo! News | The Cutline – Mon, Apr 9, 2012

Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman has apparently launched a website—TheRealGeorgeZimmerman.com—to relay a message thanking his supporters, and to collect donations via PayPal for his living and defense expenses. The site had been down intermittently on Monday afternoon.

>> "I am the real George Zimmerman," a message on the site begins.
>> "On Sunday February 26th, I was involved in a life altering event
>> which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage.
>> As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage,
>> I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer,
>> my family and ultimately, my entire life. This website's sole purpose
>> is to ensure my supporters they are receiving my full attention without
>> any intermediaries."

More from Zimmerman's site:

>> "It has come to my attention that some persons and/or entities have been
>> collecting funds, thinly veiled as my 'Defense Fund' or 'Legal Fund'.
>> I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites
>> as I have not received any funds collected, intended to support my family
>> and I through this trying, tragic time."

>> "I have created a Paypal account solely linked on this website
>> as I would like to provide an avenue to thank my supporters personally
>> and ensure that any funds provided are used only for living expenses
>> and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment.
>> I will also personally, maintain accountability of all funds received.
>> I reassure you, every donation is appreciated."

>> Sincerely,

>> George Zimmerman

(My emphases in the text above)

==================

Does that answer the question as to whether you are right or wrong in your comment as quoted above?

We should all take note that:

(1) Some unsolicted (hopefully well-meaning?) funds collectors may have made other promises to which Zimmer does not have to answer.
(2) There has been a revision to the narrower restrictions on the funds, now perhaps only accepted (not collected), of which his defense team will be responsible and accountable. Promises made now cannot be made to apply to promises made regarding his earlier, broader solicitation.
(3) Commingling of funds solicited by the first letter would have been subjected to division at his own directed apportionment, which provision would have been in effect up until the revision of his commitment of further funds. They are now being designated only for legal expenses. This was, of course, poor judgment in early management of his receipts, and has led to misunderstandings, it appears.

It does not readily seem that Zimmerman and/or his wife had an intention to divide unconditional contributions other than which he first indicated and proposed. He may well have budgeted an portion for living expenses imminent or outstanding, with the remainder for case costs coming due farther on; the remainder being reported to the judge as the assigned amount apportioned for legal expenses. Was he lying to the judge? Not on that basis, neither being unfaithful to his supporters, eh?

There is simply no need for arguing about this, especially when wrong presumptions are proposed. It might be good for all to stop this. This is irrelevant to and should not materially affect proof of his innocence of the murder charge, IMHO as a bystander and observer.

But unfortunately, Hugin, it looks like your position is indefensible and untenable? How about checking this out for yourself, and come back with proof that my thesis is wrong?

Respectfully suggested --

Some say he never operated in that capacity. Strangely enough, his old Neighborhood watch person said he did a great job in that capacity. Perhaps they had another name for it.

On the night in question, you may be right. If you never worked a day in your life in a neighborhood watch capacity, I’d have your back if you approached someone in your neighborhood that peaked your concerns.

If you were attacked, thrown to the ground, and your head was beaten against the ground, I would back you using lethal force.

Now you may have decided never to approach someone like that in your neighborhood. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be right to, if a person had legitimate concerns.

From same article

The same poll showed that fewer than half that number — 15 percent — believed Zimmerman had acted in self-defense.

Two months later, however, those numbers had flip-flopped. In a May 19-20 Rasmussen poll, 40 percent said they believed Zimmerman had acted in self-defense vs. 24 percent who called him a murderer.

Thanks for mentioning this -- I would have posted more, but in making it up, the posting routine warned me that for JWR only excerpts were permitted, so I only dared print part of the article before redirecting.

There has been a lot of excitement and vituperation over aspects that were only barely tangent to the most important trend in this Martin/Zimmerman issue, which is -- where was opinion at beginning, what turns has it taken, where is it now; but more prescient, where is it headed going up to the trial date? THEN what?

But your note here has finally drawn attention back to the theme of the article's title and subject. Wish there had been more comment on it.

Thanks!

But Trayvon’s mother is black, and so her despicable captialism doesn’t matter with hte msm- George Zimmerman is ‘white’ hispanic which means the msm will NEVER allow him to get away with anything. The FACT is that Zims wife ASKED the judge if he would liek her to call her brother in law to find out how much was i nthe paypal accoutn and the judgge said “NO That’s Not necessary” and even the judge didn’t know the legality of whether or not the paypal $$ could be included in the bond judgement- He’s on tape making that confession, and he’s also on tape telling the wife that she didn’t have to find out how much was i nthe paypal account- Her responsibility to disclose the amount ENDED when the judge made BOTH of the statements that he did- it was then the court’s and the prosecutions responsiblity to fiudn otu the legality of using the paypal account in concidering how much bail shoudl be set at-

GGeorge and wife’s discussions have (or leghally ‘shoudl have’) absolutely NO bearing on this case becasue the judge aqnd prosecution dropped the ball o nthis- and thwen turned aroudn and blamed the wife?
