McConnell: 'We're Pretty Unhappy' About Obama's Immigration Mandate

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said on Friday he will seek a court order to stop the Obama administration from halting the deportation of illegal aliens who were brought to this country as children.

But King is one of the few Republicans talking about a lawsuit.

On Monday, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was asked what Congress will do about the Executive Branch setting mandatory immigration policy without congressional authority.

"Well, one thing -- we thing it ought to require legislative action," McConnell told Fox News anchor Martha McCallum. "The way you get these things done is to have a bipartisan discussion."

McCallum persisted: "But if the White House has gone around Congress in a way that is not above-board, is Congress going to hold the White House's feet to the fire on this and force them to go through Congress, is my question."

"Well, that would require court action, I assume," Sen. Mitch McConnell told Fox News on Monday. "But yeah, I think we're pretty unhappy with the fact that they have now decided to do something they claimed they couldn't legally do a year ago."

McConnell said Obama's decision "raises quite a suspicion that this is all just about trying to ingratiate himself with Hispanic voters."

On Friday, Rep. King told radio host Mike Huckabee, "I’m prepared to bring a suit and seek a court order to stop implementation of this policy."

You plan to sue the administration? Huckabee asked. “That is correct,” King said.

Mitchy won't impeach Obama for doing what Mitchy wanted to do anyway. Mitchy is just hurt he didn't get a chance to vote on it.

What a thoroughly pathetic leader! So he thinks maybe there needs to be some “court action” over this? What a jerk!

I'd love to vote ‘em all out. Sure, we'd take out a couple good ones in the process, but no way will we ever win with leaders like Romney, (cry baby) Boehner, and Mitchy McConnell. With leaders like them, we don't need enemies!

Mitch should take some time off and get that Chin Implant he has always wanted.

While they’re at it they can flip him over to make sure his Spine is intact.

Prepare for this constantly when Hillary Romney takes over. They all just can’t wait for it.

McConnell is an old school show-me-the-money beltway deal maker. There is big money in amnesty so naturally he is all in. He is just unhappy that the kenyan stole a march on Rubio and the GOP now can’t trot out the compassionate conservative jive.

Mitch is hurt because Obama stole credit for the amnesty Mitch wanted to pass. You're absolutely right. At least Obama is open about wanting to destroy America in order to create his utopia. You know where he's coming from. On the other hand, RINOs typically talk a good game, but they're working behind the scenes to thwart conservatives. Honestly, I don't know what's worse.

Actually, I do. RINOs are like “Christians” who don't believe the Bible. As fellow church members, you think they're on the same team, but they only bring apostasy. Frankly, it's easier to deal with unbelievers than those who want to destroy from within. At least unbelievers don't come in, pretend to be something they're not, spread heresy, and create dissent.

McConnell and Boehner are both dirty and the Rats can make them dance to whatever tune they want, on demand.

You have provided a very apt comparison.

O the Fascist grants amnesty.

The BAD Republicans challenge it.

In November, all the illegals vote for Obama and against the bad Republicans. Not that they should be able to vote, mind you.

Unhappy?

Wooaah there big fella... It's just this type of inflammatory rhetoric that discourages voters from participating in the political process. This is the reason people are disgusted with DC. Tone it down.

Remember the inspirational words of Dr. King, “Cant we all just get along?”

SoConPubbie: “You have provided a very apt comparison.”

And you see how well many churches are doing after the heretics work ‘em over. The Republican Party is headed down the same path. Do I have anything in common with people like Mitch McConnell, Romney, and McCain? They claim to be “Republican,” but do they actually fight to advance small government, preservation of American culture (self reliance, liberty, etc.), and the rule of law?

Apparently not.

Well, let me tell you. My city is flooded with Somalis. Back during Bush vs Gore I went to the polls and saw many Somalis in line to vote in that election.

The next day one of my Somali co-workers who had just arrived to the USA only 3 months before asked me who I voted for. I told him I voted for Bush. He told me he voted for Al Gore. Another Somali told me he also voted and mentioned something about Clinton and a voting card upon arrival in the US. I have no idea what he was talking about.

The last I knew... even legal immigrants cannot vote in our elections (at least general elections). They must be here for a certain number of years and I think they also need to become US Citizens before they can vote. I also think it’s 5 years in the US before you can apply for citizenship.

That being said you can bet all you got in the bank that not only are legal immigrants vote in the general but also illegals vote in the general. In many places they do not even ask for your ID and they would fear being sued if they were to actually come out and ask for proof of citizenship or even legal status.

Don’t think for a moment that they don’t vote. They do and they have been for quite a few years now.

Personally I do not think Obama will gain many votes from illegals because of this executive order simply because they’ve been most likely voting already anyways.

The challenge should be the legality of HOW this Amnesty was passed and not the policy itself. The American people will send a message come this november.
