You could just feel, sort of, the tension between them. And the body language really represented how far apart the two leaders remain on the issue of Syria."

Could be, but as pointed out by others on this thread Putin is not in the least intimidated by Obama (unlike, unfortunately, our Republican "leaders" who are scared senseless to challenge our socialist leader).
Syria and our attitude towards it have puzzled me. From my (admittedly limited) perspective, it is a case of radical Muslims (the rebels) being killed in large numbers by apostate Muslims (the regime): where is the down side for the U.S.?

They are too much like each other to get along and certainly are ideological twins. . . Commies at heart. Putin is just worlds more intelligent than Obama and Obama knows it. Putin is making him look like the stooge and child that he is and Obama doesn’t like it. And Putin is helping Assad put down the uprising of Obama’s Muslim brothers, which gets under his skin almost as much a making him look stupid.

Obama needs to give Putin a lecture on implementing affirmative action for Chechens. If Putin wonders if that is such a good idea, Obama can point to himself as proof of how affirmative action can benefit a country.
