Rolling Stone Writer Claims Demand for Fast & Furious Documents Due to GOP 'War' on Eric Holder

Remember all the cries in the past for governmental transparency by the "progressive" media? Well, when it comes to the Department of Justice lack of transparency in refusing to turn over documents related to Operation Fast and Furious, Rolling Stone writer Jillian Rayfield excuses it away by claiming that the demand is really due to a GOP 'war' on Eric Holder:

A big part of the show is demonizing Holder himself. Several Republicans have recently called for Holder to step down, among them Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and Jon Cornyn (R-TX), who did so to Holder's face in a Senate Judiciary hearing just last week. In one Republican primary debate, Rick Perry and Rick Santorum also both called for Holder's resignation. Romney, for his part, has steered clear of the issue so far, but he won't be able to for long if RNC Chair Reince Priebus gets his way. Priebus says that "Fast and Furious" will be a central 2012 campaign theme, so even if the contempt proceedings go away, it doesn't look like Holder will be off the hook anytime soon.

He was OK with the war on Bush and Reagan and Nixon though.

I think if withHOLDER was forced to turn over the thousands of documents/emails he is withholding, this should be amazingly simple to PROVE!!

Ah the wedge nose. Vegas, and Camaros of that era, had it too. It actually didn’t look all that bad, and with metal bumpers it was still cheaper to fix than our modern plastic nose cars.

Holder lied, Mexicans and Americans died. Whether this was in furtherance of some domestic or international gun banning scheme, or the result of an LSD trip, matters very little compared to its murderous consequences.

I really wish conservative and any other honest writers out there would make it a point to ridicule these idiots every time an article like this is written. Call into question their skills as a reporter and their integrity.

Make it personally and professionally/for their outlets embarrassing to write such crap.

IE: point, laugh and mock.

“demonizing Holder”? Who else are you supposed to go to to find out things about the DOJ? You would think that Fast and Furious was a National Security issue the way Holder is hiding documents.

I love how progressives find racism anywhere and everywhere except where it matters most, within THEMSELVES!

“I love how progressives find racism anywhere and everywhere except where it matters most, within THEMSELVES!”

Its typical psychological projection.

Holder’s dismissal of the New Black Pamper voter intimidation case is the most egregious example of state-sponsored racism by a world power since the Third Reich.

I make no moral distinction between racists and those who enable them. This goes for voters, and so-called “journo-lists” who fail to report racist acts of government officials.

I’m not considered “old” by most people (I’m 37), but yet I can still remember when Rolling Stone was a good magazine that focused on music acts and reviews of new music releases. Now it is little more that a liberal propaganda rag disguised as a “music magazine”.

Yes but they weren’t communists/leftists AND black. That’s the big differences.
I am so bored with the same cr@p coming from the left. Do they realize how small and boring they really are and sound?

Rolling Stone stopped being cool back in the 70s. It’s not even good paper to roll a joint from.

The woman is clueless. We have a Justice dept that has been selling guns to drug cartel gun men knowing that they will be used to kill folks & they knew that they would end up killing cops & when that happened they told the ranks so “F”ing what!!

What we have is a DoJ that is in need of a house cleaning that will make one of Joseph Stalin’s legendary purges look like a bunch of Sunday school kids singing Jesus loves me.
Until that housecleaning takes place when having any interaction with any Federal LEO or DoJ personnel your default setting should be that the person is dirty.
