I agree with you. The country is in need of backbone and resolve; Issa is playing politics and showing himself a party first kinda guy.
Actually, I think this is just Issa's committee voting to recommend issuing a contempt citation. That then has to go to the floor of the House, where an actual House vote would take place.
Nothing of effect happens until the entire House votes on the matter.

I think that this comment differs very little from many of the other comments expressing anger/frustration with RINO's, disgust with Washington DC and politicians in general, and helplessness against the corruption of the Obama administration.
I agree that there may be a bit of apathy in there. After all, I am an apathetic lurker for the most part and it certainly resonated with me!
HOWEVER! I do not think it deserves the written response it received from one or two of my fellow Freepers. It has a kind of sudden-doom, book-of-Jonah-like ending that makes it worthy of respect. In fact, the use of "Obama nation" and the idea of God's impending wrath might prompt one to ask "What is it that GR Jr. is anticipating, the end of the Obama administration, maybe 1/20/13 or maybe 4 years later?" and "Is he implying that the abomination of a man with the proclivities of BHO living in the White House makes God's wrath inevitable? And if so, then on who?"
Also, there is a certain self-deprecating humor here, maybe. He could have been baiting people to reply. And replying to negativity with negativity is ironic, no?
Maybe he has had a bad day and just needs a little encouragement...
And of course -- as one who loves a good conspiracy theory -- I thought the "executive order establishing himself Leader for life" part was pertinent, given the recent behavior of zIpppy. A year ago, I would have thought it laughable. But these days, after what he has gotten away with.... it does not seem that far-fetched.
Or maybe I am reading too much into it. I've been wrong before. LOL
Perhaps we should abide in a saying by one of Holder's deceased people....."can't we all just get along?"
We should outright excuse Holder's blatent disregard for the law.........and then we should riot; the culmination should be when Holder is tarred and feathered.

That’s the difference between them and us. For us, unethical behavior is shameful; for them, it’s a resume enhancer.
I figure Issa, et al., have enough aces up their sleeve to bring an end to Holder’s career. It seems they’re giving him every opportunity to do the right thing and help himself. They still don’t “get it”; dems never do the right thing.
We have always survived and will this time. I am not about to throw in the towel.
We falter, we recognize, and finally we rise to what we should be as a country...heck, the same has happened to me a few times during my half century relationship with the Lord, my God.
I survived because I fell asleep, suffered, yet soon realized what I needed to survive...so shall this country. God is there and watching.

Of course this entire thing was an administration scam. The entire Mexican government relation set it up — “no crisis goes to waste.”
If ATF cooked it up they would have already been under the bus. If Justice had an assistant they could hang it would be done. This was Jarrette and some cabinet level people like Hillary, Napolitano and Holder selling Barry on a convoluted idea as to international relation needs being used to Trump the Second Amendment.
The White House National Security Advisor was probably in on it to keep Obama insulated.

I was just posting by general overall feeling of the moment which has yet to change.
My basic overall feeling is Holder will get away with this. Alot of weak kneed, squishy soft RINO’s will side with the RATS and vote to not hold Holder in contempt, even though they know damn well he is in contempt.
I have sat back and watched for three and a half years as 0bama and his roving bands of hoards have gotten away with one unconstitutional act after another, hence my feeling the Constitution is dead.
I am further upset by polls (even the more reliable ones) that show 0bama still enjoying support in the mid to high 40’s and sometimes even the low 50’s. That is why I believe America is dead, because we are having our freedoms stripped from us one by one and the people are willing to support 0bama because the like speeches, or they like his smile, or they like having a President who is just so “cool”, or because the fear if they dislike him it makes them a racist. It makes me puke in my soup everyday.
Then, lets say we do get rid of the serpent in November. What are we replacing him with? Romney, another serpent and the ultimate RINO. Then I sit back and watch alleged “Tea Party Conservatives” like Marco Rubio or Allen West support leftist ideals or make comprises with 0bama.
I try to put it all in Gods hands for the best outcome for this country, but I feel this nation has forsaken God and he will in turn forsake us.
So yeah, I’m cynical, depressed and angry. Call me chicken little or what ever. I don’t see a way out of this mess.
I can only hope I am wrong.
