Not a word about Executive Privilege for more than a year; all of a sudden, it appears. My understanding is that Issa has all the goods already, just wanted to give Holder a chance to hang himself.

I hope so. But if nothing else, this move shows that Obama is involved in this up to his squinty little eyeballs.

Now it’s really starting to sound like Watergate. It definitely looks like a coverup and it is.

Judge Napolitano says that this is not an appropriate venue for "Executive Privilege" as it is intended solely to cover communications directly to and from the President and only on subjects of national security and defense.
Republicans are proceeding with Contempt of Congress charges.

“The White House has asserted executive privilege over documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal. Stay tuned to Fox News Channel for developments on this breaking story.”
The criminal cabal composed of Obama, Jarrett, Napolitano, and Holder are all involved in a conspiracy which illegally trafficked assault weapons to international terrorist organizations (drug gangs). With the issuing of executive priveledge it is now clear Obama’s fingerprints are all over this. And Holder cannot claim to have been just following orders (didn’t work in the Nuremberg trials).
Hillary should immediately separate herself from these criminals, otherwise she may be implicated as well and thus forfeit any future political aspirations on the national level.

“United States v. Nixon” makes it pretty clear that “executive privilege” does not apply to information sought in criminal investigations of the executive branch.
That they waited so long to claim the privilege undermines it’s validity.

Napalitano is correct. This is used under the understanding for national security matters. Mind you this is the same administration that openly leaks classified information to the press to make themselves look tough for election season.

More than just Holder have painted themselves in a corner.
Methinks MSM journalists will smell blood in the water. They may be dyed in the wool leftists, but their self interest will trump ideology because Honor, Virtue and Loyalty are not on the top of their list.
One or more out there are are thinking Pulitzer. “Woodward & Bernstein made a 40 year industry from Watergate. Why can’t I cash in on this?”

Big big mistake. For one thing, this isn’t an issue for executive privilege and next thing is that Obama has played right into the issue of his much vaunted “transparency.”
This was truly a stupid move on his part.

But this is no ordinary executive privelge claim. This is a "Black Executive Pivelege" claim, which means something entirely different..............

Interesting point. Issa should counter with: "By asserting Executive Privilege, Holder and Obama thereby admit that Obama had engaged in communication about Fast and Furious. Now we just need to uncover 'What did he know, and When did he know it?' "
