The Obama campaign spent more money than it raised in May, but is sitting on $110 million in cash, according to a Federal Election Commission filing on Wednesday.

Obama for America raised $39.1 million in May and spent $44.6 million. The $39.1 million makes up part of the $60 million, announced earlier this month, that the campaign raised jointly with the Democratic National Committee.

Combined, the Romney campaign and Republican National Committee trounced that number, bringing in $76.8 million in May.

Probably in an offshore account.:)

While I know he’s not going to come close to a billion, I highly doubt he has raised only $110 million, plus whatever he has spent to keep his name out there.

Whatever happened to the much ballyhooed "billion dollar" campaign that Obama was set to run?

Say what you want about Romney (I wish it was somebody else too) but it appears that, unlike McCain four years ago, he will match Obama dollar for dollar and then some this go-around.

Gee,,the Obama campaign spent more than it took in? Hmmm,,,sounds like a familiar approach..

As long as that evil ba$tard continues to spend more campaign money than he takes in,,I’m happy. I hope he sucks everyone of his donors bone dry of cash!
