Why doesn’t Issa just go another route? There have to be many people involved in this issue who are not government workers who could have information useful to this investigation. These would be people who are not bound by any confidentiality or national security agreements. As big as this thing is — there has to be another way to get to the facts of F&F.

To what extent was gunwalking used prior to Holder and Obama using it?

It was not used prior to "fast and furious". Gunwalking is what led to the program coming to light. Agents in the BATF were horrified by the idea of gunwalking. It was the opposite of what the agency policy had been for all of their careers. The field agents complained about it vigorously. They were told to shut up and keep on gunwalking. When the administrators were told that people were going to die because of gunwalking, they were told " you can not make an omelet without breaking eggs".

The real question Americans are asking themselves tonight, is whether Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry looked like Barak Obama’s son, if he had one. In legal circles, this question is called the Trayvon Martin Murder Test. Given Holder’s conduct,it is unlikely that Terry meets the test.
