Rubio asks: What is Holder hiding about Fast and Furious?
The Daily Caller ^ | 20 June, 2012 | Matthew Boyle

Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio said on Wednesday he’s concerned about what President Barack Obama’s administration is keeping from the American people about Operation Fast and Furious.

“I have tried to be very patient and judicious and responsible in my statements up to this point, and to give the administration and Eric Holder the benefit of the doubt,” Rubio said in an appearance on conservative radio host Laura Ingraham’s program. “I think after today we now begin to wonder what many have begun to wonder… What are [members of the Obama Administration] hiding?”

On Wednesday Obama asserted executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents subpoenaed by House oversight committee Chairman Darrell Issa. The move followed Attorney General Eric Holder’s last-second request for him to do so, ahead of a scheduled committee vote to begin contempt of Congress proceedings against Holder.

“There is something in there they don’t want us to know, there is something in there they don’t want us to see, and you begin to get concerned,” said Rubio. “What are they covering up now?”

“I think we’ve reached a dangerous new place with regards to this administration’s contempt of Congress and I don’t mean another play on words,” Rubio added. “I think we’re in very dangerous territory now.” (DOC BLOCKED: Obama asserts executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents)

Rubio hasn’t outright called for Holder’s resignation, and his spokesperson won’t answer whether he’ll join presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, five U.S. senators and 129 House members demanding Holder’s ouster.

Holder should not resign, he should be arrested. I wonder if President Obama initiated the claim of executive privilege, or if Eric Holder did.

Rubio ain’t alone in his curiosity! Story is a whistle blower contacted Issa and others with some bit of culpatory info. True/false? Hope to find out SOON!

What is Holder hiding...?

1. Who knew.
2. When they knew it.
3. What orders were issued.

If those facts did not endanger the regime, the documents would have been provided to Congress.

So far, the left has no consistent story on this issue. Chris Matthews says it’s just a racist thing, that Tamara says it just takes time to get the documents together. The left seems rather shocked about this.

Huge mistake, Marco. NEVER give these scum the benefit of the doubt. You will be wrong 100% of the time.

Who keeps asking Rubio? Ask one of the adults on the committee!

Whatever it is, whatever they’re hiding has to be more damaging than the admission (by the EP claim) that they lied about 0bama having nothing to do with it.

I’m more interested in what Obama is hiding.

Holder and Obama are hiding the motive.

Pay attention to what they have allowed us to know. I don’t believe for a minute the cover story, that somehow they were going to rile people up against guns, and that was the purpose of all this.

Quid-pro-quo with drug cartels with complicity of Mexican Government? That would explain why Calderon isn’t asking for Holder’s head.

Guatemala?

You believe “rile people up against guns” is just another cover story? I’d be interested in more of your thoughts on the underlying purpose.

They aren’t even admitting to that. They’re sticking with the “gun trafficking tracking gone awry” storyline.

I don’t think 0bama would have invoked EP if he wasn’t covering his skinny arse because he just drew all the heat to himself. It’s a last ditch desperate measure to hide his involvement.

It does seem a lot bigger than a gun control scheme.

Rubio’s trying to scrape the poop he stepped in earlier this week off his foot.

Rubio’s behind the curve again.

The big question is “What is Obama hiding?”

Actually, now that EP has been revoked, the correct question is, What is OBAMA hiding about Fast and Furious?

"I have tried to be very patient and judicious and responsible in my statements up to this point, and to give the administration and Eric Holder the benefit of the doubt," Rubio said in an appearance on conservative radio host Laura Ingraham's program.

redacted text restored;

Rubio continued, "My focus has been and remains the far more importante issue of getting the Dream Act and amnesty passed. While procedurally clumsy the President's edict the other day is a giant step to doing the right thing"

"It wouldn't be prudent to ask for AG Holder's resignation at this time. Let's wait until we know which way the wind is blowing"

Venceramos! Adios, and good night!

I’m more interested in what Obama is hiding.

One of the excuses the left is offering is the documents are "private conversations between attorneys and clients." So, my question is... why would Obama take such interest in sequestering them? Something stinks out loud here and the pressure should be applied continually.. 24/7.

Quid-pro-quo with drug cartels with complicity of Mexican Government?

If the number of guns is accurate, seems like small potatoes, so the gun control motive still seems more likely to me in this case.

The quid pro quo might be that Calderon keeps his mouth shut about the murders of Mexican citizens in return for Obama formalizing the illegal presence of other Mexicans in the US (i.e. some degree of amnesty).

Correct me if I am wrong on these points, but the truly key facts about F&F continue to be ignored in most of the media. Some that come to my mind include:

State Department/Hillary involvement.

Federal money/payments used to buy the guns.

Lack of tacking devices on the guns.

Federal pressure on unwilling gun dealers to break the law during these sales.

Zapata’s death occurred after he published an official report on the operation, and Napolitano then lied about his involvement under oath.

These guns ending up at crime scenes repeatedly in the US.

The number of murdered Mexicans involved.

Key witness inaccessible after being send to Afghanistan over a year ago.
