Mitt Romney criticized President Barack Obama's immigration plan on Thursday, saying that as president, he will "put in place my own long-term solution that will replace and supersede the President's temporary measure."
That plan is still vague, but it does not involve a path to legalization for any of the country's estimated 11 million illegal immigrants except for people who enlist in the military, according to a release from the campaign.
"As President, I won't settle for a stop-gap measure," he said during his speech to to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Annual Conference in Orlando, Fla. "I will work with Republicans and Democrats to find a long-term solution. I will prioritize measures that strengthen legal immigration and make it easier. And I will address the problem of illegal immigration in a civil but resolute manner."
In the speech, Romney said that he would make it easier for legal immigrants to bring their spouses and children to America, as well as beef up temporary work visas for low-skilled workers. He also reiterated that he thinks foreign students who get advanced degrees in America should be given green cards. Romney's immigration plan also includes a "high tech fence" for the border and a national, mandatory employment verification system that ensures employers do not hire illegal immigrants.

No I don’t like Obama passing the Dream act Amnesty for illegals against the will of Congress, against the will of the American people. I guess that doesn’t bother you all that obama gave Amnesty to illegals and did an unlawful act,turned the U.S. into a dictatorship does it? Just ad-libbing here but the law could include an auto-matic repeal clause that repeals the entire law if a court throws out the non-citizenship clause.
In real life anything that gets passed will be a piece of crap and Romney is completely untrustworthy as w Boehner and McConnell.

They don't get that this was the whole purpose of obama's doing what he did. To start a war within the Republican party over immigration. Romney is smart not to play into their hands. It's what they want. It was by design. Let it go through the legislative process. If it passes, it passes. If it doesn't, it doesn't. No need to lose the election over it.
And it will remain vague until he's elected (if he's elected). Then it'll be put on the back burner and ignored by Mittens Obama-lite.

Later-on he can define ‘here illegally’ and ‘amnesty’ for us much like Bush, McCain and Graham-amnesty did in 2007. Path to Citizenship is NOT amnesty because there is a $500 fine, which will get refunded with a special immigrant tax credit.
