PROVIDENCE, R.I.Homeless people in Rhode Island now have a bill of rights specifically protecting them from discrimination -- the first such measure in the nation.
The General Assembly announced Thursday that Gov. Lincoln Chafee (CHAY'-fee) has signed the legislation into law.
The bill of rights prohibits police, healthcare workers, landlords or employers from treating homeless people unfairly because of their housing status.

Ambulance chasers may file jackpot justice torts on my mark: four, three, two,....
This is pure socialist bullshit
What a bunch of morons....
Employers will eventually not ask for home addresses to protect themselves from litigation from “Advocates” of the homeless...
Everybody will be considered “homeless” now when applying for a job...

Former RINO goes full Moonbat.
Reminds me of the RINO that WFB got Joe Lieberman to run against. Can't remember the name, but he too, became an independent, won the governorship, and instituted CT's state income tax...
It means that Lincoln Chaffee is an utter Moron in a state thats wholly owned by Dem unions made up of countless mentally challenged moron union members who care about nothing but their own sweet asses. We should thank the Lord every day that the over inbred buffoon that is the Governor of Little Rhody now, is at least no longer a US Senator!
Wish they’d give some examples of what typical discrimination against a homeless person is.
My wife and I help at the local shelter now and then, serve food then clean up the tables at the local homeless kitchen.
Some are very nice - some very rude. Some do need help - some are just druggy / drunk freeloaders.
Maybe Massachusetts citizens need special rules against themselves because they are liberals?
Including the right to stink up libraries will surfing for porn on the internet?
Just waiting for a lawsuit from a “homeless person” living in an apartment, should be one funny show;)
So, who will fight for and defend this Freeloader’s “Bill of Rights”? I sure as hell won’t. And why do freeloaders need their own “Bill of Rights” anyway. They don’t do a damn thing to deserve them. (Although I can see a homeless guy as Barry’s next selection for the SCOTUS.)
Nutbags!
Local highway on-ramps, off-ramps and overpasses in my general neighborhood attract homeless people, who often use the bit of shelter they provide to pitch tents or lay out a sleeping bag.
I recently saw posted near one of these places a public notice, which upon closer scrutiny proved to be a “Notice to Vacate Illegal Campsite” which included the location (address) and date to be out by. It was interesting to read, because in its layout and language it looked like a cross between a restaurant’s application for a liquor license and a “Notice to Quit” letter posted on a delinquent tenant’s door.
This homeless person camped out on “state property” near a highway was given the equivalent of a “Notice to Quit” that would have been reading material for a regularly-housed person.
The best part is that he stole the video company from from Deval the D*ckhead!
Oh the Irony!!!
Of course they have rights! The right to find a job; pay their bills; provide a home for themselves; feed themselves;to be clean physically, morally, and spiritually. They have all kinds of rights. The same kind of rights we have!!
I had a boss who grew up in St. Louis in the 40s. He used to tell me stories of the beat cops smacking the bums on the bottoms of their feet when they slept on park benches and entryways. They kept you moving in those days, often to the next town, and didn’t let the bums desecrate our public spaces. Literally “the good old days” before PC infected our polity.
