YUCAIPA (CBS) The community of Yucaipa is rallying around a soldiers family.
Army Private First Class Nathan Tyler Davis is scheduled to be buried Friday.
Members of the notorious Westboro Baptist Church says they will picket the funeral. The group is known for picketing the funerals of soldiers gay and straight to protest what they believe is a country headed in the wrong direction when it comes to acceptance of gay rights.
The group which has about 40 members and mostly from one Topeka-based family is considered a hate group by many.

Couragous of that town!
Patriot Riders normally make them feel welcome....to leave. Surrounded by 40 unmuffled Harley’s makes shouting an exercise in futility.
As if they are welcome anywhere.
I was called to assist the family of a fallen soldier for a few days, and so was present while the post mortician discussed preliminary funeral arrangements with them. One of the forms the next of kin has to sign gives permission for outside groups to contact the family. The mortician recommended signing the form, because one of the groups contacting them would be the (I think) Patriot Riders, who would come to the funeral expressly for the purpose of keeping the Westboro loons away from the family. I remember the mortician shaking his head at the family: “You don’t want them [the Westboro kooks] there,” he said.
This a a pathetic news article.
Journalism is over.
The cult from Westboro protests at soldiers funerals but know NOTHING about the soldiers whose funerals they protest at. They have no idea who is gay or straight and it really has no bearing on when or where they protest.
They protest to promote hatred and to find ways to sue to make money.
They usually send women and children likely hoping that any action taken against women and children looks worse and can be used to their benefit. I have stood the line against these vile people. Any Christian, any American, any Veteran should.......
Thanks moonshot925.
PGR’s on it
they are on it (PGR)
I liked what happened to them a while back in a Mississippi town. They (Westboro) came out of the hotel rooms the morning of the funeral to find their cars blocked by other cars in the parking lot. The funeral was across town, too far to walk. They contacted the police and were told that all the cops were out on calls, and the police tow trucks were tied up. After the funeral, the blocking cars disappeared.
“They usually send women and children likely hoping that any action taken against women and children looks worse and can be used to their benefit.”
I saw some of the children of that cult at the RNC 08 convention in St Paul. Singing “God d@@@@ America”. They polluted the kids’ brains. Millstone. Neck. Deep blue sea.
The came to Louisville, KY some time ago to protest a funeral. Someone knifed ALL the tires on one of their vans and the cherry on top of the iceing was when no local tire shops would fix their flats for them. I have no idea what they did, but it put them in a fix.
Oh yes, that would be terrible. Google Earth shows there are some nasty looking desert mountains north of Yucaipa. One could hide a lot of things in those mountains. Even 40 of them. In the desert. Under the dirt.
The Goebbels media repeats a Big Lie yet again.
"Westboro Baptist Church" is a group of leftist Democrat agents provocateurs whose purpose is to smear conservatives.
LOL. They're into leftist Democrat "theology," not Christian theology of any kind. They're a front group for the hard left.
I have to wonder just who Westboro is REALLY in the business of casting as “terrorists”. They are fake “Christians”, and someone is surely bankrolling them for some reason. - More of Obama’s drama aimed at specific “targets” much like Fast & Furious?
This group is a left-wing group of fascists, that is why the leftist news never attacks them...
I think this is called moby trolling. It was invented by Saul Alinsky.
They are trying to make all conservatives/christians look like extremists by protesting with signs that say “GOD HATES FAGS” and “GOD HATES THE USA” and “PRAY FOR MORE DEAD SOLDIERS”.
They’re rather extreme in their methods, but they make some valid points.
