EXCLUSIVE: Biden's Brawlers: Veep's Security Team Squared Off in Nantucket Melee
Fox News ^ | June 21, 2012 | Jana Winter

Posted on 06/22/2012 4:45:00 AM PDT by lbryce

Getting into a barroom fight with the men who guard Vice President Joe Biden would likely get someone locked up -- unless the brawlers also happen to be on the very same security team.

That's just what happened in a bloody, booze-fueled brawl that spilled out of Nantucket’s Rose and Crown nightclub while Biden and his family were spending last Thanksgiving on the island, according to police logs, notes and reports obtained by FoxNews.com. It was one of at least two fights police in and around Martha’s Vineyard have investigated involving Secret Service agents and other members of President Obama's and Biden’s security details in the last year as the leaders and their families vacationed nearby.

The fight, which a police report said “caused visible damage to both parties,” pitted Jonathan Dawes, a hulking, 217-pound Secret Service agent, and Eric “Bomb Squad” Gahagan, a Massachusetts State Police bomb technician assigned to Biden, against three Air Force officers who had just been assigned to the same detail. The airmen, who suffered black eyes, head contusions and a chipped tooth, thought their assailants were local cops. Gahagan and Dawes knew the airmen were part of the Biden detail.

A bouncer told cops “the incident bothered him because Gahagan and Dawes were both considerably bigger than the men they attacked,” the eight-page police report stated. “He said he felt that Gahagan and Dawes were acting like bullies.”

The fight started just after midnight on Nov. 24, 2011, when, according to the police report, Gahagan accused the Air Force men of taking photos of him dancing with female Secret Service agent Yumi Kim, according to the police report. The Air Force officers, John Tran, Michael Valeich and Lucas Wiemer, told cops they didn’t know Gahagan, Dawes or Kim and had not been taking pictures.

Kinda sounds like the STU team from EFAD. Makes me wonder what other dirty tricks they have up their sleeves...

It's sort of reminiscent of Uday and Qusay hitting the local night club with their posses.

This and the episode with the hookers, prove that there is definitely a sickness in this White House. This type of unacceptable behavior from member of what has always been an elite, highly motivated, image conscious organization is indicative of far greater problems.

This incident just shows how deeply the corruption in this White House runs. Undisciplined behavior of this sort is indicative of poor management. More evidence of Obama's complete incompetence.

I’m beginning to think there are entirely too many members of the secret service guarding the first and second families. Too many agents with too much time on their hands with not enough, really, to do.

About two weeks ago I was flying from LAX to Dulles on the red-eye and noticed a couple of individuals in suits standing near the gate with ear pieces in. They were more interested in BS’ing than any type of security activities. About 10 min before they started boarding out comes Sebelius with two more security personnel.

I swear that three of them could have passed for teenagers. Needless to say, I’d want better security than what this group seem to offer.

Well! ....Given the training these guys have they could be **very** dangerous to our nation.

Either Obama and his minions want men of this type of brutish, course, and immoral behavior around them or the Obama team are clowns who recruited from the cast of” Animal House”.

My “theory” of the negative press about secret service agents (and this is only speculation because I DO NOT TRUST THE SOCIALIST TOTUS)never trust a commie ever........is Romney will not see November due to a “lapse” of the secret service protection detail and the secret service will be the fall guys. the secret service will be overhauled and obama will pick and assign his own protection detail and he will have a second term because he will be running unopposed. Just a theory......obama is a commie.....never trust them. He cannot run on his record, so why worry when you are the most powerful man in America. Please note, this is not a warning...only personal SPECULATION and is in no way a threat against a candidate. Obama will use any tactic to remain in office. Look at his heroes like Putin, Chavez, Castro and the Muslim Brotherhood and all of the other people he considers role models. Even Bill Ayers thought the ends justify the means for his actions and Obama is somebody who was under his wing. Any amount of force or coercion is in the communist playbook. Obama is a commie. Dont trust him.

I believe this stuff runs hand-in-hand with the sort of unengaged in policy, always on campaign, "livin' large," "party down," "you owe me," attitude that has dominated the White House since Obama was sworn in.

The only thing these people take seriously is getting elected. They don't care about the nation and they don't care about the people beyond what they can take from them.

I’m into my 2nd run of the trilogy, and had just covered the party at Malvone’s house in EFAD. Then I saw this and it struck me. Reading isn’t going as fast as I’d like because of an eye problem. But I’ll get it done.

I know the printed font is pretty small in EFAD. If you are having eye strain trouble, (I’m 55 and mine are getting worse all the time), this might be enough reason to get a Kindle. The basic B&W model costs about $100 bucks, and the battery lasts for weeks. You can crank the font up as big as you want, and just click through the “pages.”

I’m reading on a Kindle. My left eye (I think it’s dry eye...will have it checked out next month at my annual exam) starts bothering me if I read too long. Even with an increased font size. Eye drops help, but it still irritates somewhat. I’ll get by, though.

I’ve never heard of this type of behavior in other presidencies from the Secret Service, maybe they kept it on the down-lo. These people are having one big 24 hr a day party, banging whore and getting in fights? No surprise they reflect the outlook of the Asshole in Chief. What a disgrace!!

I’m beginning to wonder if all these stories about unprofessionalism by the SS might be a clever ruse to try and invite security breaches (which would of course be thwarted) to try and generate sympathy for the president and to try to fan the racism flames.
