Surgery Removed Rare Tumor in Utero [Media Admits Womb-Dwellers Are Persons!]
NBC MIAMI ^ | 6/21/12 | DIANA GONZALEZ

Posted on 06/22/2012 5:56:04 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Leyna Gonzalez is now a happy, active 20-month-old.

However, when she was in her mother's womb a rare tumor was rapidly growing in her mouth.

But in the first case of its kind, UM/Jackson fetal surgeons were able to penetrate the amniotic sac with a small scope and successfully remove the tumor in utero.

The tumor can easily be seen in a routine ultrasound taken at 17 weeks.

Miami TV stations are covering this story, oblivious to the fact that the situation shows what pro-lifers have said all along: unborn babies are PEOPLE who are valuable and whose lives are worth saving.

People can be prosecuted for killing the baby inside the womb (eg shooting the mother in stomach and baby dies).

in our pro abortion culture, personhood is the choice of another, not a right endowed by our Creator

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness only applies after a child comes out of the womb

but maybe not even then, if she emerges from an abortion or even an abortion attempt...as per leaders with obama’s values

We make the mistake of applying our sense of “real” and our epistemology to the left and then coming to the conclusion of “they’re admitting that the ‘fetus’ is a human!”.

Their answer, and their worldview, would be “only when they want it to be”. This is their source of reality. It is reflected in their disdain for laws, traditions, and the Constitution. Their “intellect” is superior to any of those considerations to make decisions in the here and now, because they are in the here and now, and the makers of those laws, traditions, and morals are from the past.

So, yes, in this case, the media “admits” that womb-dwellers are persons, but only in this case. Don’t expect any consistency on this issue out of postmodern humanists.

“only when they want it to be”

Yes. Their interpretations are always "nuanced" and can be anything at anytime. Republicans, on the other hand, are stupid people who see things as very black-or-white -- things are either "true" or "not true". Such an unsophisticated way of viewing the world!

It's a great pro-life story, but it's odd that this successful operation on a person while in the womb is coming out now, 20 months after the girl was born.

In the larger picture this story yet again reveals the genocidal-murdering treason of U.S. government officials, doctors, and others, who promote, earn a profit from, and legislate abortion.

I asked my lib-in-law, point blank one day -

can two conflicting statements both be true at the same time in the same way (ie, the law of non-contradiction, the basis of the ability to know anything),

and she, sensing the “logic trap”, answered “yes”.

I then asked “how can you know if anything is true or not”.
Her answer was “I decide”.

Ridiculous! Why would a doctor waste his time removing cancerous tissue from an inert blob of un-live cells???????????? This story doesn’t make any sense. Why not just a clean D&C and move on?

“Her answer was “I decide”.”

A fundamental axiom of self-worship.

This is a great story for many reasons. One reason that will be missed is the fact that this procedure, and the equipment that made it possible, was developed and executed in this country in a system that some people believe is ranked 37th (or worse) in the world.

This country has the best healthcare system in the world because we have the ability to develop solutions to these types of afflictions. Having the best system in the world is expensive. Obummercare, or any other collectivist driven system of healthcare, will ensure that these kinds of life saving solutions become the exception rather than the rule.
