“scorched earth”

Watch for something audacious. "pardoning" 30 million illegals comes to mind.

I'm thinking the same thing. This individual is an absolute narcissist who every step of the way has been coddled and given an affirmative action pass after being told how special he is, when in fact he is nothing of the sort.

We've all read stories over the past couple years about the strange personality traits he exhibits. Especially his aloofness and coldness towards those who thought themselves close to the man after becoming politically expendable.

When the make believe world of a totally self-absorbed child finally comes tumbling down, bad things tend to happen.

If his numbers continue to deteriorate, nothing would surprise me.

He has been at 45% before, rarely, but that is the record disapproval. I read upthread that his index dropped from 14% to 22% overnight. Doesn’t Rasputin use a 3 day rolling average? If so, then this 22% will go much lower once the higher ratings drop off.

Apparently, 23% of the population strongly approves of the destruction of this country.

How did we arrive at such a population?

True...but I think his 45% strongly disapprove is a new record.

No, he hit 45% on 8/23/2011 and 8/25/2011. His Abyss Index of 1 is also something he hit before in 2011. Like I said, let's see what next week's numbers say before considering this something other than a polling statistical artifact.

going from -14 to -22 overnight is unprecedented.

Obama is unprecedented! And we need to unpresident him in November.

I fully expect this petty dictator to unilaterally invalidate the Defense of Marriage Act and order all states to conduct counterfeit "marriages" before he is expelled from office.

Yes, it's going to get a LOT more unconstitutional before it's over. The mask is completely off this Marxist.

That's easy to answer. Just think of that woman at a rally of his back after he'd just taken over who blabbered on and on about not having to pay her mortgage and gas for her car anymore. Or her friend who said he'd be taking the money from his "stash".

yep. I agree.. to energize his base, the hardcore lefties, to the point of rapture, look for something completely bizarre and so blatantly unconstitutional that it will boggile the mind and stun and delight his disciples, (the press)... I’m think banning of all handguns by executive order.. something like that... or an move of troops to Syria, again without approval of congress. there are probably 10 such scenarios.

... I believe going from yesterday's -14 to -26 overnight is unprecedented.

It could also be statistical "noise," which is more likely.

Still, here's hoping that it holds.

Yes, the leaches comprise a very large contingent of that 23%, but there are virulent America-haters in there as well.

The early seizure of the public schools was a shrewd strategy of the Left. We’re now seeing the putrid crop of that early sowing.

This has to be an error. That data point does not make sense. I’d like to believe it but I don’t.

They are called sheeple for a reason.

Stock Market? Dead for the foreseeable future. We are back tot he 70’s. If it only stays flat we aren’t losing as much. Nobody is going to retire on this market. It is only a harvest of money that is losing value. If it does not fall below 10,000 again I’ll be absolutely astounded... no buyers to speak of if the fed no longer prints money to buy stocks. It will recover someday but not soon enough to save some from destitution. It will take years for things to get better.

Even if Romney is successful and if he does things that need to be done... both big ifs, it will take at least two to three years for the economy to even begin to spool up. The leviathan that is our economy and out national psyche is sliding downhill at an ever increasing speed. That slide will not be stopped quickly and it will not be turned around and pushed back up the hill easily. And don’t forget, we have at least two generations of people who are basically freedom and republic ignorant.

Yes it is a three day average. I had to look it up here:

Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 500 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. To reach those who have abandoned traditional landline telephones, Rasmussen Reports uses an online survey tool to interview randomly selected participants from a demographically diverse panel. The margin of sampling error for the full sample of 1,500 Likely Voters is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

The next couple polls should be interesting.

“scorched earth”

Just a thought here but I have a strong feeling the Obama team would initiate this message in late September if his numbers continue to tank: “...If Obama looses, we (the administration) will not be responsible for the outcry from various parts of the country. We will not be able to control the anger, frustration, and rage as a result of Obama being voted out...”

This would send a message to his base to go nuts, the MSM would back the massage and help proliferate , and scare the independents into voting for Obama - just out of fear. Meanwhile, Obama would be able to stand in the background and watch.

Your thoughts
