Man breaks into Vt. home, cut self on window, dies

BURKE, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a man died after he broke into a home by smashing a glass window and was severely cut as he climbed through it.

At that age he may have been on anticoagulants.

It's not clear that will happen, but if I were on the jury, I'd walk over broken glass to clear the homeowner of any transparent negligence.

I'd throw the case out the window if I were the judge and rule it had no grout or frame to stand on.

Had an office broken into once. The idiot broke through a window and climbed in. He then climbed back through when he left, cutting himself and leaving blood on the OUTSIDE wall. He didn’t notice the sliding glass door two feet from the window. All he had to do was unlock it and walk out. He got away with a typewriter.

If you're going to break in through a window, get a long pipe or steel rod and run it around the edge of the frame, to clear away all the glass before you go through.
