Fast and Furious Desperation

There is a school of thought among GOP party pros that Fast and Furious is a distraction, that President Obama would rather talk about anything other than the economy. Much as I admire the insight and focus of people like Karl Rove, President Obama and his coterie are showing unmistakable signs of desperation. We witnessed the President's gum chewing demeanor, and awful presser performance in Los Cabos at the G20 summit -- a televised disaster that commandeered prime time television in the East.

When the president invoked Executive Privilege the liberal blogs went nuts with outrage. There’s not many ways for the DNC to spin it for their own base.

Jay Carney. Fitting name.
Carny is slang for an employee of the
White House Carnival.
- At today's White House press briefing, Press Secretary Jay Carney said invoking executive privilege is "entirely about principle." The assembled reporters laughed....
- Carney also got basic facts about Fast and Furious wrong, though members of the press corps were on hand to correct him....
- Carney also maintained that the White House is not being hypocritical by invoking executive privilege, even though President Obama once criticized the practice....
- Carney forgot the name of the slain border patrol agent who died as a result of Fast and Furious.

Well, I don’t admire Karl Rove and this thinking that Fast and Furious is somehow going to take the heat off 0zer0 on the economy is silly. People are living this cra**y economy every day. F&F is simply driving home the extent of the corruption that permeates every level of this administration.

We can take care of the distraction easily:
Zer0 wasn’t giving the economy the attention it needed because he was dicking around at the golf course and with Fast & Furious.

Carney would forget his own name if it wasn’t carved on his chest upside down ~ watch when he looks down.

When the president invoked Executive Privilege the liberal blogs went nuts with outrage. I missed it - is it dawning on them Obama is Nixon?

The most compelling feature of Fast and Furious is that there are already HUNDREDS of dead bodies piled up.
Karl knows that means the folks behind the process are willing to kill large numbers of people for no reason at all ~ he can imagine how many they would kill given a reason.
But that's not what Karl fears. He knows that come the next administration there will be intense pressure on whoever is President to solicit an extradition request from Mexico so we can send all of them there for trial and punishment.
I"m sure he doesn't want that to become any sort of precedent so he'd like to see this scandal shuffle off the stage rapidly.

Most of the liberal blogs that I was reading were SHOCKED(!!!) that this “transparent” president would invoke EP. And, yes, some of them were comparing it to Nixon.
But I don’t know how much stock to take in it all. At the end of the day for liberals the ends justifies the means.

Get his for your liberal friends..if you have any.. Review form Amazon Fast and Furious: Barack Obamas Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up [Hardcover]
Katie Pavlich (Author) Everyone must read this book!, April 5, 2012

This review is from: Fast and Furious: Barack Obamas Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up (Hardcover)
Everyone must read this book! It doesnt matter if you are a Democrat or Republican, whether you believe in more or less gun control, or are conservative or liberal. Government scandals such as this must not be allowed, especially when they cost people their lives. Reading this book will cause you to experience a wide range of emotions. You feel sadness and frustration at the situation surrounding the death of Agent Brian Terry. This is followed by disbelief and outrage as the facts are presented regarding Operation Fast and Furious. Most shocking was seeing proof as to what the administration, at the highest levels, is doing for political purposes. It is frightening to realize, as the book points out, the incompetence, deceit and unlawful behavior with which the current DOJ and other government agencies operate and the great lengths they will go to cover it up. I was appalled to learn of their lack of concern for human lives. I had to ask myself while reading the book, Could this really have happened? But the facts and sources are thoroughly documented throughout the book to prove its validity. The introduction by an ATF Special Agent sets the tone for the book in a realistic manner. After finishing the body of the book, dont put it down until you have looked at the appendices. There is a helpful timeline of events and further proof of the administrations efforts to conceal the truth.
