The White House said a former National Security staffer who communicated with ATF's Special Agent in charge of "Fast and Furious" cannot be interviewed by Congressional investigators.
The ATF Special Agent, Bill Newell, testified to Congress in July 2011 that he's a longtime friend with then-White House National Security Staffer Kevin O'Reilly. The two emailed and talked on the phone during the controversial Fast and Furious gunwalking operation, according to documents and Newell's testimony to Congress.
In one email exchange about Fast and Furious on Feb. 11, 2011 O'Reilly asked Newell, "Would ATF be willing to put you or others in front of US media that gets pickup in Mexico (CNN en Espanol, perhaps) to tell this story?"
At the time, the Justice Department and ATF were denying any gunwalking had occurred, and were looking for ways to promote stories about gun traffickers buying weapons in the U.S. and taking them to Mexico.
"Kevin as we discussed last night," answered Newell, "these are some examples of what we could get translated and use in the Mexican media . . . The 'Fast and Furious' indictment is listed under 'U.S. v Avila.'"
The two also emailed about the case in July 2010, exchanging anecdotes and photographs of gun seizures in the case.

To all in the media who say this is too complicated for us ordinary folks, including Megan Kelly, here’s a simple explanation:
“This program was designed to disarm the American people by claiming guns were being bought in the U.S. by Mexican drug cartels thus turning public sentiment against gun ownership.”
However, sadly, this is probably too complicated for THOSE WHO WORSHIP HIM and will still vote for him.

Don’t trust Alex Jones. Hillary did not mastermind this. Obozo himself had to authorize it. Multi-Agency coordination indicates that.

I do think that Hillary knew about it and had intentions to use it (fast and furious) to further restrict our 2nd amendment rights.

Agreed. Both Hillary and 0bama have voted in the past to ban guns altogether.
I voted for Clinton, twice (I was a liberal then). I didn’t understand then what Whitewater was, prob still don’t. Hardly anyone did. It did cause a heck of a lot of problems for Billy Boy, though. One problem with the political reamifications of this scandal- there is not much time before the election.
Sounds like a good point to me, sunmars. As long as it can be done without making the republicans look like they are not doing it in the name of politics. And the way to avoid that happening is to educate the American people on exactly what went down. Let the American people know that not only did we lose 2 border agents but also hundreds of Mexicans in Mexico were killed as a result of this Obama operation. And the BIG question is... How many Americans have died in Arizona, Texas and other states as a result of Fast and Furious that we do not know about either out of ignorance or because our government is hiding such information?
I also think this should not be the primary focus of the Romney campaign. He still should focus on Obama's economy, energy prices and all the other policy failures of this administration including his power grabs. I do think he should touch on Fast And Furious a bit in every speech (a way to help educate the American voters about what F & F is) but not make it the major issue of his campaign.

Time for impeachment! Even if we can’t get it through congress, we have to have someone with balls draw up articles of impeachment every month up until the election.
