Obama Campaign: Tell Your Wedding Guests to Send Us Money
Breitbart ^ | 06/22/12 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 06/22/2012 3:01:34 PM PDT by MissesBush

Just when you thought the Obama campaign couldn’t get any more desperate, they come up with this: the Obama Event Registry, asking supporters who are getting married, having a birthday, or celebrating an anniversary to direct gift-givers to Obama’s re-election website:

Got a birthday, anniversary, or wedding coming up?

Let your friends know how important this election is to you—register with Obama 2012, and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a great way to support the President on your big day. Plus, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate—and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.

Setting up and sharing your registry page is easy—so get started today.

Yesterday, Michelle Obama suggested that Americans give her husband money because he once shoveled snow around her car. He was apparently a husband to us all. Now, the Obama campaign is telling us that if we get remarried, we ought to send the gifts to our presidential ex. (Clearly, the Obama campaign also does not like gravy bowls. Perhaps they should try gravy boats. Those are far more popular.)

This is truly insulting. Young couples have been the folks hardest hit by the Obama economy; unemployment rate among the young is at all-time highs. Yet Obama suggests that we should send money not to those couples, but to the campaign of the man who has put them on the bread lines.

Obama's all about me, ego trip presidency rolls on! Yes, don't ask for gifts that will help you start a new home with your new spouse--give your money to Obama instead so it can be blown in under a minute on a campaign office pizza party somewhere or better yet to send Obama out to Hollywood for yet another campaign fundraiser with the top .01%! What next, a fundraising campaign asking people to not buy groceries or pay their electric, phone and water bills so they can donate the money to Obama instead?

I don’t hate anybody, but I’m coming very close to it with this guy.

What an arrogant, loathesome creature.

Come on, November!

“...goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.”

Goes right to the level of a bucket of warm spit.

FUBO.

Next up from this class outfit: sell your sh*t for fertilizer, give the proceeds to the Obama campiagn; donate blood to the Red Cross, give the proceeds to the Obama campaign; go to the nearest fertility clinic, w*nk off and... so on.

And there would be characters who’d do it, too; the dyed-in-the wool Kool Aid drinkers.

I suppose next I’ll be encouraged to cut my cats back to one can of Fancy Feast a day and send him the $0.59 I save.

There's nothing rational about the Obama cultists. They think anything this guy does is a thing of wonder. I mean, I'm not remotely an Obama supporter and I'm embarrassed for the laughable lout over this. But with the Obamazombie Koolaid Cult, they don't have the rational brain process to see how pathetic and hard up this looks for Obama to be trying to pick the pockets of newlyweds.

OMG — I can’t believe it.

What about the toaster ovens, the slotted spoons?? For crying out loud ..people NEED stuff when they get married! They’ve got all their lives to donate to political campaigns!!

I think I’ve just seen it all now.

Yet another result of being told ‘you’re special’ and getting participant trophies. Be part of Obama’s team! You participated! Your donation makes you special!

Looks like fun. And it’s not just for weddings, can be any kind of event.

I think I’ll create a page for Indiana Tea Party for Mourdock for Senate.

Weren't liberals bragging about how many zillions of dollars the Bammy campaign raised last time? Now, suddenly, the Republicans are outraising them?

Reasons:

Foreign bribe money has dried up, or

his support in America has dried up, or

the people who supported him last time don't have jobs so they can't give...

50 years from now (or 30 or 20) there will be some couples celebrating their anniversary and thinking “we should have retired by now but our marriage helped Obama get re-elected”.

Even if Reagan were running again I wouldn’t advise this. After 20+ years of marriage I don’t remember a single gift. But I do remember who was there and that the day was about me and my wife and nobody else - the way it should be. I’m pretty sure I’d remember gifts to Reagan or Obama - one with pride, the other with embarrassment, but both out of place for that day.

Yeah they create their own little reality world and inhabit it.
It must be a very difficult world to live in cause if Bush had done this their would be no end to the snickering and nasty comments but they can rationalize it into pure genius on Obamas behalf, wonder do libs have a higher percentage of mental illnesses in later life..

Right about the cult thing one person over at DU boasting about all the items she bought from the Obama store.

Ok maybe a nice picture to frame but coffee cups ,t-shirts and highball glasses wth...

Wow, his campaign is taking the “we have your back” ad to the next level. If you have this jerks back you must forgo your wedding/ birthday gifts and next they will be accepting donor cars and other property. I am sure there will be some who can’t wait to volunteer their property for the sake of the one.
