The jury in the Jerry Sandusky child molestation case has reached a verdict. The media has received a twenty-minute verdict notification, which means that the result will be announced in twenty minutes.
Jerry Sandusky is a former Assistant Coach for Penn State The high-profile began last year when almost a dozen people came out, revealing that Sandusky has molested them, which then resulted in the firing of Penn State Head Coach Joe Paterno.
Sandusky faces 48 counts against him and up to 400 years in prison. Most legal analysts have predicted that he will be found guilty on most, if not all, charges.
Several minutes before the verdict was reached, the jury asked for clarification on testimony that a janitor gave. The janitor stated that he heard that a fellow employee had witnessed Sandusky had raped a child. This, however, is hearsay because he did not witness it himself. The jury was certain how to apply this to their deliberation.

Recall thinking the same thing (Guilty) when the OJ jury came in after a short amount of time.
Friday night is not a good time to have a verdict reached in your trial. The jurors are ready to go home. Guilty!

It’s funny that our local media has been covering this trial so extensively; yet, as far as I can tell, none of them have broken away from regular programming to cover the verdict.
It’s dangerous in prison to be labeled “short eyes”. That’s exactly what Sandusky will be called, assuming he’s found guilty and receives a prison sentence.
Not yet. Should be shortly. Judge has ordered that media folks cannot call, text or otherwise report the verdict immediately. Trying to avoid mass stampede.
I think they should put him in a cell with a Bible and a pistol with one bullet. Do not deliver any food or supplies and return in two weeks to remove his body.

Sounds reasonable, but he raped children so I would like to see prisoners pull a train on him for 24 hrs, then give the molester a gun.

Yeah, well, I have the horrible feeling that Jerry is going to be playing the role of Bubba, probably doing young men in for traffic offenses, or something of the kind. I mean, someone's got to do it, right?

Hopefully the guards just might make a mistake and let the prisoners get to him. Let him feel the pain those children did, especially his own son Matthew.
And if per chance he is acquitted on all charges, and I really don’t think that will happen, there are about another dozen victims including his adopted son whose allegations that were not part of this trial can result in new charges and another separate trial.
Keeping my fingers crossed that Sandusky sees the inside of a prison cell before dawn breaks tomorrow and that he never sees the light of freedom again.
He needs to serve two consecutive weekends in the electric chair.
Stupid jury, they could have spent another night in luxurious accomodations, had a first class breakfast and lunch tomorrow...
Hopefully this jury is smarter than the one in Casey Anthony’s case.

Exactly. Knew someone who was in the Fed Pen and someone assumed (wrongly) that he was a pedo (because he wouldn’t answer them for what he was ‘in’ for). Got the crap beaten out of him with chairs and ended up in solitary for his remainder.
I, also, did work with the church and was in a music group who visited prisons in the UK and played for church services. We had to do a separate service for those who were....ummmmm, ‘separate’. I asked what this was about my first time and was told it was for the pedo’s, etc.
