Back in 2009 the White House held a news conference announcing their new plans for taking action against the Mexican drug cartels. President Obama's spokesman lays out the plan ordered by President Obama and Attorney General Holder.
Two questions arise rather quickly:
1) How can they now claim not to have had any idea about this badly bungled operation until it was made public following the Brian Terry murder?
2) Why are Darrell Issa and the rest of the GOP Congress allowing this slow-waltz of pathalogical liars to parade before these hearings when they have access to the same vidoe you are about to watch?

Remember the Dept of Customs guy who got zapped by some non-Sinaloa cartel guys down in Mexico about 2 years ago? They said it was random, relying on the public image of Mexico as generally very dangerous, which is true. But in fact the reason for the kiling was specifically BECAUSE of this Obama/Sinaloa agreement:
You see, apparently how things go down in Mexico is this; when word gets out to cartels that some entity does important business with ONE cartel, the general view of the others is that that entity is more or less an extension of THAT cartel. See?

Now, that is bad enough. But what if instead you were a lowly badged gringo schmuck simply doing what you were told, down there, and you didn’t KNOW of the arrangement? That is just a GUESS of mine —that the secret agreement might be so sensitive that for security and political reasons they might not tell the guys low on the totem pole.
That would mean whenever you drove around town down there you might be passing drug guys on the street who saw you as a RIVAL drug dealer AND YOU DID NOT EVEN KNOW THAT.
I mean you would NOT KNOW you were in danger, you would not know to use stealth. It would be like finding out mid-way during a cocktail party that you’d been nude that whole time.

The goal was chiseling away at the 2nd Ammendment, as you said, but the mission was NEVER to track guns or cartels, but to wait for the body count, to obtain blood shed and dead bodies, use the numbers of dead, (the greater the better), attach a story to it, and throw it out to US media to drive it home. 300 Mexicans had to die, with our guns, for an agenda to advance the case to get guns in the USA.
The depth of determination to get guns is scary. The ATF and the Justice Dept were tracking no one, including the cartels. They were instead waiting to phone it in.

I agree 100%. 15-20% of the country (the hardcore Leftist Loonbags) will shriek that it's an "election year stunt," but the timing can't be helped, and the consequences of inaction could not be more dire. They have to strike now, and be relentless and committed.

The only thing that went wrong (bungled) was that they got caught! These guns were never tracked - that was the point of the operation: to increase the number of guns crossing the border to attack our Second Amendment Rights! PERIOD!

Actually Wide Receiver was terminated in 2007 by the people who were running it. Holder definitely didn’t end that program. F&F was begun in Oct. 2009.

I don't know about that but 0bungles, Holder and Hillary were making frequent statements about a "river of guns" flowing to Mexico from the U.S.

Word games. Here's the little trick Napolitano, Holder and ATF are playing. F&F was an ATF operation run out of the Tucson AZ office. But some guns were walked out of Texas gun shops which puts them in the jurisdiction of Texas ATF offices so those ops must have had other names. So far I have not seen any reporting on what those op names were.
So you are right that Project Gunrunner was a legitimate program begun in 2005 under Bush but it is still the name of the program used when 0bama came into office and is the umbrella program for all of the criminally insane local ATF operations run since his ascension to the throne.
All of them—"Wide Receiver", "Fast & Furious", "Gunwalker", etc.—are one and the same since Obama took office. For this venal Quisling to state for the record that, on the one hand, he had (as announced in the 2009 video used as the basis for this post) a legitimate "Gun Walking" program in place, and then there was this new "Fast & Furious" program which was started by the ATF's Arizona Field Office without his or Holder's knowledge is absurd! Doesn't begin to pass the smell-test.

It was established many months ago that neither Mexican authorities nor ATF agents stationed in Mexico were informed of the "gun walking" going on under F&F. That info didn't come from Mexico but it might be hard to find the article(s) it was first published in now.
For the record; there has never been a program or operation called “Gunwalker.”

The reason cops ask the same questions over and over for hours when interrogating someone they believe to be guilty, is because eventually the liar trips himself up by contradicting a prior statement. This is almost always proof of some form of a deceit, as someone merely repeating the truth will most likely not vary when recounting the facts.
