Good evening, Mac, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

Agreed with your sermon.

Did you have a terrific time at the parade last night? *HUGS*

Hope you got some rest today. Or did you have to work all day?

Did not work today, Kathy - after staying up last night until after two, I ended up staying in bed the entire morning. I woke up with heavy nasal congestion and general weakness.

After medicating myself and eating breakfast, I took my son to stay over with a friend who lives about 30 miles away. After that took John Man to work and by the time I got back it was time to cook dinner. Mrs. MacNessa worked like a Trojan all day so I cooked dinner) Had a couple of nice stuffed salmon fillets. Then back to pick John Man from work and arrived home shortly before nine.

I was feeling somewhat better during the afternoon but have declined this evening. I actually did a fair amount of walking last night. We had to leave the bleachers at one point and get under cover due to a passing thunderstorm. Luckily, it was only a short delay.

The Silent Drill Platoon, Marine Band, Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Battalion of Marine Barracks Washington all performed with consummate professionalism. Much to my delight, the Drum and Bugle Corps played "Scotland the Brave" followed by "The Minstrel Boy." I was most gratified.

Must retire - well past the Witching Hour here on the Right Coast. Little Mary is coming back from Kenya soon - July 18th. I made her flight reservations today. We can't wait until she gets back - I worry about her day and night while she's over there.

I'll see you n the morning - All the Best!
