Fritz Vahrenholt, one of Germany's earliest green energy investors, is not convinced that humanity is causing catastrophic global warming.
Scientists of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) are quite certain: by using fossil fuels man is currently destroying the climate and our future. We have one last chance, we are told: quickly renounce modern industrial society painfully but for a good cause.
For many years, I was an active supporter of the IPCC and its CO2 theory. Recent experience with the UN's climate panel, however, forced me to reassess my position. In February 2010, I was invited as a reviewer for the IPCC report on renewable energy. I realised that the drafting of the report was done in anything but a scientific manner. The report was littered with errors and a member of Greenpeace edited the final version. These developments shocked me. I thought, if such things can happen in this report, then they might happen in other IPCC reports too.
Good practice requires double-checking the facts. After all, geoscientists have checked the pre-industrial climate, over the past 10,000 years: this isolates natural climate drivers. According to the IPCC, natural factors hardly play any role in today's climate so we would expect a rather flat and boring climate history.
Far from it: real, hard data from ice cores, dripstones, tree rings and ocean or lake sediment cores reveal significant temperature changes of more than 1°C, with warm and cold phases alternating in a 1,000-year cycle. These include the Minoan Warm Period 3,000 years ago and the Roman Warm Period 2,000 years ago. During the Medieval Warm Phase around 1,000 years ago, Greenland was colonised and grapes for wine grew in England. The Little Ice Age lasted from the 15th to the 19th century. All these fluctuations occurred before...

There seems to be a rash of warmists changing their minds. Let’s assure that this guy’s message gets spread, since State Sponsored Media won’t.
The unstoppable economic collapse will leave junk science funding an unaffordable luxury.
And with it, a lot of careers will go.

The fact that climate change occurred before the industrial age disproves nothing. Clearly, these changes were either caused by ancient aliens burning rocket fuel ... or more likely a future human civilization found a way to open up a temporal vortex in order to dump their industrial waste into earth’s past.
Climate change? Who cares? we are into sustainability goals now.

No, really, they did it with their lies, and nothing else.

“Who cares? we are into sustainability goals now. “

When the lie becomes untenable to the point of subjecting the ones who embrace it to ridicule, liberals will finally discard it.
You and I may care about the lie, but then, we never were willing to embrace it. So we are moot regarding points made about people abandoning AGW. You can't abandon something you always rejected.

Real scientists are starting to realize global warming is political and it's undermining respect and trust scientists have built up over decades...
We’re at solar max now. There won’t be much concern about global warming in about 3-4 years. Instead, we’ll see wondrous, awesome and magnificent fluctuations toward cold, such as haven’t been seen in a very long time.
Have fun. Enjoy the slide.

Mr. Freeze
How do I get a job with the IPCC? That’s got to be a great gig to be with.
The most dangerous - and most likely - climate change in the near future is global freezing.
For roughly 4 million of the last 5 million years, glacial ice sheets have extended into the continental United States.
Also, there are multiple examples in the last 5 million years where global temperatures plunged in a period of one or two decades.
If such a temperature decline were to take place in our modern world, industrial scale food production would collapse, and tens of millions would starve to death.
Thanks for the ping!

Never heard of the place, sounds great. Any bigger towns nearby I could use as a reference point? FYI ~ Still cold in Sacramento. When I say cold... I mean fantastic! Currently 61.8 @ 9:00 am
