Remember one month ago, when a high-school junior in the Rowan-Salisbury school district in North Carolina videotaped his teacher yelling at another student that he was being disrespectful for criticizing Barack Obama and that his behavior was a criminal offense?
The young man who did the videotaping had a hellish time finishing the school year. In an interview with Breitbart News, the young mans sister described the ensuing weeks after the videotape. She said that some of the other students have said they are out to get the young man; the teacher, Tanya Dixon-Neely, has relatives who are students in the school.
The young mans family, fearing for his safety, requested for the young man to finish the last three weeks of school at home, but the school refused. Instead, the school offered for the young man to come to school after the other students were already in class, be secluded from other students during the school day and leave before school ended.
According to the videotapers sister, not only did the school authorities reject the appeal for home-schooling, they gave him a suspension on his school record for videotaping in the classroom -- the first suspension ever issued for such an action, despite the fact that other students have also videotaped on school grounds.
The young mans sister stated that assistant principal Antoine Brisbon said to her brother, That was a very stupid thing you did. You have damaged the school. Our staff is taking a beating because our phones are nonstop. This is all over the country. She also said that after the video was released, Tanya Dixon-Neely started making indirect remarks at the young man accusing him of stabbing her in the back.

Just what does it take for a teacher to be fired these days?

I like it, all conservative publications that we know will not be published in the mainstream media should begin with EXCLUSIVE
assistant principal Antoine Brisbon
AA baby.
I sure wouldn’t need some Central Office bureaucrat’s permission to home-school. WTF?

Yep these petty bureaucrats dont like their little fiefdoms disturbed by the little peons.
This kid is walking around with a target on his back. The Leftist kids in school are out to get him and the administration is less than sympathetic to his plight.
Hopefully somebody with bucks will see this and give him a free ride at a private school.
That was a very stupid thing you did. You have damaged the school. Our staff is taking a beating because our phones are nonstop. This is all over the country.
As Calvin Coolidge once said, “Tou don’t have to explain anything you don’t say”
If you don’t play stupid games you don’t win stupid prizes. {I am refering to the teacher in this instance}
If they were going to be stupid and send the kid back to the school, they should have had the boy secretly record the meeting with the principal. And then broadcast that. But I guess they would have had to have been a little bit smart to do that.
However, if they had been totally smart, they wouldn’t have sent him back to such a cesspool of non learning. Maybe they’ll learn and get him out of there next year if he still has more years left before he graduates.
“Assistant principal Antoine Brisbon said to her brother, That was a very stupid thing you did. You have damaged the school. Our staff is taking a beating because our phones are nonstop. This is all over the country.
That’s what Gov Wallace said to Ruby Bridges.
Antoine Brisbon is trying to quash the rights of this young man because of his color.
Disrespecting the President is now a Criminal Offense?
It really is an absolute shame that All of us here at FR couldn’t just suspend our lives and get enrolled at that school in that particular teacher’s classes.
Disrespect? I’m minded of Inigo Montoya in the flick Princess Bride where he tells Vizzini, who keeps describing his reverses as, inconceivable,
“I do not think that word means what you think it means.”
If this school has an anti-bullying policy, then the staff is not enforcing it. Perhaps the parents’ legal advisor wants to give them enough rope to hang themselves.
His parents need make sure he is not in that school next year. No matter what they have to sacrifice to do it. The racists will eat him alive and the school managment will cheer them on. I’ve seen liberal packs of ‘educators’ in action working to harm targeted students. They will try to keep him out of college, too.
You’re right! I live in NC also, and have seen this happen in my county. If you are in good political standing, your child will get excellent grades and the scholarships will be directed to him/her. If you are not in good political standing, your child will be bullied and harassed, given poor grades, labeled a trouble-maker, perhaps forced to take mind altering drugs.
That is happening all over the country, not just here in NC. The NEA needs to be destroyed; parents need to control schools once again.
“perhaps forced to take mind altering drugs.”
Yes, and it’s gotten way beyond merely ‘out of control’.
The Super State doesn’t take kindly to being told no.
http://www.ahrp.org/cms/content/view/790/9/
They didn’t just send the Police. They sent a SWAT Team to grab a one-legged 13 yr old girl claiming they were afraid she’d run away.
How are you supposed to "learn" when the "teachers" are dumber than the students?
This is Penn State all over again. The only difference is the teacher (with the administration’s blessing) was raping these students’ minds rather than their bodies.
This kid needs to organize some kind of legal defense drive on the internet. I will donate to that cause, if I am convinced it’s going towards an actual legal fund and not just an “extended vacation” like the money for the harassed bus monitor.
I have nothing against the bus monitor or the people who sent her a half million dollars but let’s think for a moment about the difference between these two cases:
1) the kid was exercising his freedom of speech and calling the country’s attention to an example of how bad the government schools are in our nation and now is being stepped on my the authorities for his actions
2) the bus monitor wasn’t doing her job (the exact nature of which is completely unclear) but was viciously attacked by some young thugs
I’m not criticizing those sticking up for the bus monitor. I am saying that if the bus monitor deserves to get half a million for an “extended vacation”, this freedom fighting teenager deserves a darned good legal defense fund.
The parents could sue the school board, school admins and the teacher to have the suspension removed from the record and to guarantee cooperation with the school to end any retaliation against the student.
I suspect they don’t have the money for such a suit.
“Sounds like Antoine Brisbon needs a few hundred more calls and some encouragement to do something else for a living”
Probably won’t do any good at this moment as summer break started a couple of weeks ago.
“I sure wouldnt need some Central Office bureaucrats permission to home-school. WTF?”
You would if you wanted him to still get non-failing grades from the school (remember, they have his Social Security number). Also, three weeks were left when this happened.
For the next year, yes, home school is not this school’s business, but no diploma from them. Best to transfer at this point, and try to get the kid through high school as normally as possible, so that he can apply to colleges.
What the hell does an ‘assistant principal’ do, anyway? Fire the idiot, and lower property taxes a bit.
Big lawsuit should be coming their way. Instittionalized hostile environment. Lots of underemployed lawyers should be chomping at the bit on this one.
That was a very stupid thing you did. You have damaged the school. Our staff is taking a beating because our phones are nonstop. This is all over the country.
So now we have a new Fascist Hitler Youth to worry about too?
I wouldn’t describe those out to get him as “leftist kids”. They’re in the same “club” as the teacher. This is no longer about politics. It’s now about race.
There are some on these forums who will cheer that.
Someone should start a fund for him just like they did for the bus lady and the girl who was jailed in Texas for truancy by that idiot judge.
The comments on the bottom of the article are scathing, as usual.
I don’t think you people realize this is how the Obama “brown shirts” act. INTIMIDATION and FEAR are their only means to an end.
If Obama wins reelection, get used to it for it will be the ground rule to ensure another Dem gets elected for President after Obama’s rule, if we have any elections at all then.
HE did not damage the school... the TEACHER did. of course, i would NEVER expect any teacher / progressive to see it that way.
i would also submit that the teachers in that school have been encouraging the attacks on the student... as evident by the asst. principal's attitude.
the FACT is politics should not have been brought up in class, unless it was a political class (in high school?)
When was the last time you 'respected' a drunken bully - and member of the Longshoreman's union? Teacher's are equally 'charming'...
You're right - so-called 'educators' have created a hostile environment for learning. The young man could sue them - the best way to deal with bullies is to fight back with everything you've got... He's not attending a school - he's an inmate at an indoctrination center and a mean one at that.
He's one brave kid - my hat's off to him.
Antoine Brisbon — if Obama had an assistant principal.
The ‘doting court eunuchs’ of the MSM wil fail to notice this story... They’re out there busily looking for some gay student who was mildly (maybe) offended ( possibly)...
What the hell happened to us?
Where's the Reset button?
It is time to reboot the system to the point before all the updates, fixes, workarounds, etc. were added and start fresh. It's better to fix it now before the system crashes.
The longer we wait, the more damage is done. If it happens in Salisbury, it's happening everywhere.
Thug union teachers, controlling thug wannbe students to do their dirty work. Teacher unions have to go.....NOW!...........
AA baby.
Is she the one quoted as saying "there's more of us coming"?
Answered my own question- “more of us coming” was a black principal in a Coney island school.

The family wanted the student to do the public school work at home for credit. They were not asking to homeschool. In other words “school at home” not “homeschool”. In NC the county has nothing to do with homeschooling. The parent sends a letter of intent to the Dept of Non-public Education.
Not really sure I understand your Post #30.
Sue Mr. Antoine for punishment (suspensio) for whistleblowing under color of authority in a government institution. Under discovery, they’ll find that no one else has been suspended for the same “offense”.
Open/Shut, good capital in hand for the student to pay college expenses.
The young mans family, fearing for his safety, requested for the young man to finish the last three weeks of school at home, but the school refused. Instead, the school offered for the young man to come to school after the other students were already in class, be secluded from other students during the school day and leave before school ended.
They wanted to get him out of there but their request was denied! Maybe they don't have the resources to send their child to private school.
I read that, but I can guarantee you my kid would not have gone back to that hostile school for one day whether I had the school’s permission or not. I’m not for the sue happy nature of many in this country, but I would find a lawyer and sue the school district too.
Time for the student to simply start recording any & all interactions with staff & when they try to seize his smartphone tell them that his lawyer will be getting in touch with a lawsuit.
