I can understand why folks get up and walk out.

quoting Ann:
"Jindal, like Obama, is NOT constitutionally qualified. He was born to Indian nationals six months after they immigrated to the U.S. He is not a natural born citizen, meaning a citizen born to two citizen parents.

Golden boy number two over at HotAir is yet ANOTHER constitutionally unqualified for POTUS/VPOTUS politician, Marco Rubio. "

I am so glad to see her put those words into print. Any dissent over 'natural born' criteria is routinely dismissed as irrelevnt at HotAir. Years ago, I enjoyed reading Morrisey's work @ Captains Quarters. I don't know what changed, but Morrisey's work at HotAir is so far removed from those days. It's a rare occassion that I actually read any of the posts at HotAir any more.

Confessing that I actually glanced at the post and comments on Hot Air's VP survey results, it was intensely disheartening to see so few recognizing Rubio & Jindal's lack of eligibiilty, regardless of their likeability quotients.

American voter's, judicial and elected officials utter lack of familiarity, lack of understanding and lack of enforcement of eligibility requirements provides morbid commentary on our nation's crumbling foundations.

Sue- a good book explaining God’s withdrawal of his grace from America is “The Harbinger”. By Jonathan Cahn.

You will fall out of your chair....so hang on when you open it....and won’t put it down until the next morning.

Well maybe the plan from above is to have the whole mess erupt into a living hell on earth indicating the last days tribulation period. If there is The Rapture to occur then Believers will be taken up before the Judgement falls. Otherwise all we can do is cling to the truth and keep doing what we know to be right no matter what happens. Life on earth is only temporary for us all.

“Or that He has withdrawn from His children and left them as orphans”

His children have been withdrawing from Him. It has been their CHOICE.

Same title - different tune - Warning: teen angst, solid rock and roll ... ;-)

Jonny Lang at 16yo

Jonny Lang - Lie to Me - Moondance Jam 2010

I can't find the acoustic intro/electric version that's the best (technically) but this will give you an idea.

Love it or hate it - take your pick but when I saw the post title this song is what came to me. ;-)

A lot of people can’t handle the truth. I’m not surprised people walked out on her.

I just realized recently that Obama has employed another strategy (in addition to Alinsky).

He has studied and implemented very effectively the strategies of The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene.

Obama has, in an odd way, cast a spell on his followers. You can see its effects in people like Chris Matthews, who will periodically come to his senses only to be drawn back into the spell.

He is a link to a video on one chapter of The Art of Seduction that will demonstrate this entire point.

BTW, some of Greene's strategies are quite similar to those of Alinsky and they have been heavily employed by those in the hip-hop and rap music business.

Anyone can walk on a stage to bitch and moan. She steps on her own tail when she repeatedly asks “What’s the plan?” and she offers none.

I’m sure that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson appeared before the Constitutional Convention attendees and read lists of grievances, but at least they offered workable solutions. Poor Ann offered nothing. She walked on the stage, left a pile of crap and asked people what are you going to do about it?

I would have walked out, too. She’s a professional whiner. If I want to hear people whine, I can listen to Buckwheat and Holder.

Yep! And here’s hoping Obama is headed to Oblivion...because his luster has faded.

AB is often like that old bearded guy who walks downtown in sackcloth and ashes yelling REPENT, but there comes a time when that man is on the money. This is that time.

However, I believe she’s slightly off 100% when she says the lie-to-me and Stockholm things are signs of how low the culture has sunk. Those things are the standard, default human nature; and as the Milgram experiment showed, it’s worse than that.

Herd mentality is the rule, in all cultures, all eras. Truth is expendable. Facts are expendable. I forget quite how Ayn Rand put it, but it was something in the Fountainhead about the man being burned at the stake he had taught his people to light. Such fates are not the exceptions, they are the rule.

It can be very difficult to distinguish courage from craziness. It also sheds some light on the person doing the distinction: if you’re deeply in the herd, even Jesus would look disturbing, contrary, and anti-social.

Herd is the anti-spiritual default.

What a load off my shoulders. Now that I know there is no way we’re gonna survive the mess we are in, I no longer have to sorry about figuring out how to survive.

I’m free now to spend my remaining days eating ice cream, punching holes in paper down at the range, watching Jerry Springer, and sharing more time with the wife.

They want someone to stand up and tell them that everything is going to be fine just as long as "we" get "our guy" into office come November. Rah-rah-sis-boom-bah. Yay team.

Whether "our guy" is a totalitarian statist or not matters not a bit. Romney proved his credentials as one such in Massachusetts and wishywashes about critical issues like immigration and socialist medicine and the Debt as he campaigns. But he's "our guy." The continuation of the Constitution and the Republic does not matter, even to many stalwart Freepers, so long as the winner comes from "our team" - he's "our guy."

Giles: You mean life?
Buffy: Yeah. Does it get easy?
Giles: What do you want me to say?
Buffy: Lie to me.
Giles: Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.
Buffy: Liar.
