A former U.S. president is accusing the current president of sanctioning the "widespread abuse of human rights" by authorizing drone strikes to kill suspected terrorists. Jimmy Carter, America's 39 th president, denounced the Obama administration for "clearly violating" 10 of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, writing in a New York Times op-ed on Monday that the "United States is abandoning its role as the global champion of human rights."
"Instead of making the world safer, America's violation of international human rights abets our enemies and alienates our friends," Carter wrote.
While the total number of attacks from unmanned aircraft, or drones, and the resulting casualties are murky, the New America Foundation estimates that in Pakistan alone 265 drone strikes have been executed since January 2009 . Those strikes have killed at least 1,488 people, at least 1,343 of them considered militants, the foundation estimates based on news reports and other sources.
In addition to the drone strikes, Carter criticized the current president for keeping the Guantanamo Bay detention center open, where prisoners "have been tortured by waterboarding more than 100 times or intimidated with semiautomatic weapons, power drills or threats to sexually assault their mothers."
The former president blasted the government for allowing "unprecedented violations of our rights to privacy through warrantless wiretapping and government mining of our electronic communications."

Jimmy Carter struggles to get back into “worst” place.
LOL! Ol’ trout mouth speaks.
I’ll get the popcorn.
Wowsers! #2 on the WORST American Presidents list going after #1 on the WORST American Presidents list.
Go figure.
CAT FIGHT!!!!
MEEEOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!
Either FDR or Woodrow Wilson.
Jimmy to Barry.......from one drone to another.
Hah! That would be great. Each one would publicly state that they won't be a party to using something as evil as a gun, and will deliberately 'throw their shot away'...
Then, being the scurrilous, backstabbing, sacks of untrustworthy moonbattery that they are, they would aim for each other {assuming the other was going to waste his shot) and hit each other.
Wilson. Van Buren was simply a moonbat who thought he had an acute political mind. Didn’t do much of anything.
But Wilson...he did plenty. As did FDR. And a lot of it bad.
I wonder if Obama is has noticed that everyone on his side is working to undermine his campaign. This is too tidy to be accidental. Could it be that his puppet masters have realized he is a liability to the cause and is hanging him out to dry?
Urkel is twice as smart as Jimmuh and Jimmuh is a half wit.
As bad as they were, they were not in the same class as JEC or BH0.
America has gotten to such a bad state that the Jimmy Carter administration is now fondly remembered as “the good old days”
However, they cannot openly call for a different candidate.
When SCOTUS tried to prevent his over-reach, he tried to pack the court with more Justices. He capitulated to the Soviets. He willfully ignored communist infiltration of the OSS and the State Department. He also refused to acknowledge Alger Hiss was a communist and PROMOTED HIM!.....the man that helped manipulate the Chinese Communists into power by falsifying State Department reporting of the on-the-ground situation in China.
FDR attempted to implement his "Second Bill of Rights" --
The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;
The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;
The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;
The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;
The right of every family to a decent home;
The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;
The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;
The right to a good education.
All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.
America's own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for all our citizens.
For unless there is security here at home there cannot be lasting peace in the world.
He ruled through unconstitutional fiat and Executive Orders. He has been responsible for some of the biggest threats of our time.....capitulation to the USSR, establishment of Red China, and financial ruin through programs like Social Security.
And he is the exact pattern 0bama can only every dream of matching. BH0 is just a punk and a dangerous ideologue that has everything spoon fed to him via a teleprompter.......FDR was at least capable of having original ideas to implement his destructive policies.
I always like hearing from the pimple on the hemorrhoid on the asshole of liberals.

Spew alert!!! You owe me a new keyboard. I really did LMAO at that.
A lot of the really bad stuff done by JEC was not done until after he was thrown out of office.
