"Obama is the pioneer of the White House attempt to cover-up the federal government gun scandal," gun rights expert John M. Snyder said here today.
Human Events has noted that Snyder is the gun dean.
"There's no doubt about it now," said Snyder. "President Obama has put himself right in the middle of the Fast and Furious scandal. His invocation of executive privilege places him at the center of the situation as he seeks reelection."
Snyder said that, "Obama's move could be a crucial factor in November. The Fast and Furious scandal has upset the entire Second Amendment community. It also has upset citizens who are sick and tired of government incompetence, chicanery, and deception.
"Obama's action in trying to protect Attorney General Holder from a congressional contempt citation really is an outrage. It causes people to wonder what Holder and Obama are trying to cover up and who they're trying to protect."
"The whole Fast and Furious matter stinks to high heaven," said Snyder. "In that operation, Federal officials got American firearm dealers to sell guns to straw purchasers who transferred them to Mexican drug cartels, allowing thousands of guns to 'walk' across the border. Gangsters used the guns in victimizing many Mexicans and Americans. This included the murder of at least one Federal law enforcement officer.
"Congressional investigators for some time have been trying to get to the bottom of the story. They want documents from the Justice Department and its Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Holder's been stonewalling Congress. A contempt citation against him is moving towards a vote in the House of Representatives."
Snyder said that, "Obama now leaves no doubt that he is part of the government stonewalling attempt. In fact, he's leading it. He's pioneering the White House into a confrontation with Congress. Congress has a right to the documents. The American people have a right to see what's in them.
"Stonewall Twins Obama and Holder are trying to thwart the will of Congress and the American people. American voters will have an opportunity to thwart Obama as he seeks reelection this fall."

Obama probably didn’t lose any 2d amendment supporter votes, he never had them to begin with. But there will be renewed energy to end his presidency.

Don’t be so sure his opponent is gaining a few votes...My neighbors and son have never been political. They have all made sure their voter registration is up to date so they can vote against BO.
The difference this vote is that there are a lot MORE 2nd Amendment voters than there were before he took office. Directly because of Obama himself. And he doesn’t have THEIR votes.

He also says ‘I have not backed off’ on “a new assault weapons ban”...
Isikoff, Clinton and Obama were simply parroting a meme begun by notoriously anti-firearm Senators Dick Durbin and Dianne Feinstein during a 17 March congressional hearing.
Durbin said: “According to ATF [the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives], more than “90 percent” of the guns seized after raids or shootings in Mexico have been traced right here to the United States of America.”
Feinstein added: “It is unacceptable to have 90 percent of the guns that are picked up in Mexico used to shoot judges, police officers, mayors, kidnap innocent people and do terrible things come from the United States, and I think we must put a stop to that.”
The “90 percent” allegation was dutifully reported as fact by a whole host of news organizations including the Christian Science Monitor, Washington Post, the New York Times, NBC and the Chicago Tribune.
Sipsey Street Irregulars, in the article linked and quoted above, reports that Fox News refuted the 90% stat and “put it closer to 17%.”

What else would you call heavily arming international criminal syndicates within a foreign country wherein that country is in a death struggle with those syndicates?
Especially when it goes beyond thousands of assault rifles to include grenades, RPGs, shoulder fired rockets, anti-aircraft guns, night vision equipment, body armor and special deals to bring their drugs onto our soil with legal impunity?
Not to mention that the rip crew that killed BP Agent Brian Terry was there with DEA and FBI assistance and approval to attack and kill a rival cartel's smuggling crew.
Let's not leave out the DEA laundering millions of dollars for the drug cartels by setting up bank accounts for them that they otherwise couldn't do.
It's organized, it is spread through every Federal LEA and it violates numerous domestic laws and numerous statutes and treaties that deal with foreign nations. Yet none of it has been officially sanctioned. It's the FedGov acting like mafiosa.

I’m not a “black helicopter” kook. I would bet a week’s pay that in private the WH has had discussions of how to confiscate firearms *if* they can get them outlawed, or a state of emergency can be *engineered*.
