Issa's Right: Tougher Gun Laws Fast And Furious Goal

Scandal: The head of the House oversight panel suggests the real reason for the administration's invoking executive privilege in the Fast and Furious case is to hide proof that the operation was part of a push for gun control.

Defenders of President Obama's use of executive privilege to provide cover for Attorney General Eric Holder in the gun-running fiasco that resulted in the deaths of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ICE Agent Jaime Zapata may dismiss it as just another conspiracy theory. But the suggestion by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., that the deadly operation was conceived to advance the administration's gun-control agenda is quite plausible.

"Here's the real answer as to gun control," Issa said on ABC's "This Week": "We have email from people involved in this that are talking about using what they're finding here to support the — basically assault weapons — ban or greater reporting."

Issa was asked about the possible connection after comments he made at an NRA convention. "Could it be," he said on NRA News' "Cam & Company" program, "that what they really were thinking of was in fact to use this walking of guns in order to promote an assault weapons ban? Many think so. And they haven't come up with an explanation that would cause any of us not to agree."

Perhaps the answer is in the documents that Holder and Obama are risking much to hide. As we observed recently, the way Fast and Furious, the government's gun-running operation, was executed made no sense unless its intended purpose was to facilitate violence with U.S. weapons in the interests of pursuing the administration's gun-control agenda.

Considering that the purpose of the gunwalking was to have the weapons turn up at Mexican crime scenes, it is hard to see another logical purpose.

the executive branch was knowingly using data corrupted by the fast and furious operation to justify a need for more gun control months before the scandal broke wide open and their plan unraveled. There was a conspiracy at the highest level. By hiding behind executive privilege, Obama has shown his hand. he's trying to hide the fact that that he knew about fast and furious. The flak gets heaviest when you're right over the target. We're right over the target. guaranteed.

Is it true that even if there was evidence that Obama and Holder did this to manipulate public opinion on guns laws that they would still not face any criminal charges despite the hundreds of deaths in Mexico and 2 border agents in the United States?

If so, why bother?

“...why bother”

Because it would send the NRA over the edge and give them a bully-pulpit from which to preach that Dear Leader and the Democratic Party would never live down.

It would also expose to many middle class and uncommitted voters the degree to which the Administration is willing to influence public opinion behind the scenes.

It would not go well for Dear Leader or the Dem's in the Nov elections.

Hillary Clinton using bogus gunwalker data as evidence to justify the need for gun control in America before the administration's plans were undone by random events. FFW to 38 second mark.

So basically Chris Matthews (according to what you’re saying) is right and this is political and not really to seek justice for the deaths of the border agents and hundreds of Mexicans including women and children? Do the family members appearing at the committees know this?

IMHO there was another purpose: The arming of reconquista guerillas in Texas, New Mexico , and Arizona. Few understand the scope of Obama’s usurpation, or why it would be done. Obama is a fascist*. Few understand that. We have the worst possible enemy of the People sitting in the White House.

Holder and Obama have perpetrated acts of war on Mexico , which have resulted in the genocide deaths of 300+ Mexican citizens, and two US BATF agents, and maybe more.As such they both are war criminals who deserve arrest, trial and execution.

Thats the ugly truth in total.

Even if the Kenyan pardons Holder he may still face charges if Mexico moves to extradite him for the crime of moving guns to drug cartels. It would be wonderful of the attorney general of the US under the Kenyan lived out hs days in a squalid violent Mexican prison.

Why aren't folks asking H0lder to go get the rest of the guns he sent over?

And it couldn’t happen without Holder, Hillary, and the Obama knowing and approving.

"How do we know the Mexican govt isn’t complicit in this? "

I'm sure that Mexico has even more outlaws in their gov't than we do in ours.

It has also been posited that Obama wanted to cause Mexico to slide into civil war. Then any Mexicans who came across the border would automatically be a refugee and could immediately go on the government dole and be relocated.

We don’t and cannot know if the Kenyan continues to stonewall on the documents. If the Kenyan won’t release the documents we can only assume Mexico is a victim and not a co-conspirator

if Mexico was a victim, as opposed to a conspirator, I would expect a bit more outcry. As it is, Fox has made no more than few token comments. He doesn't sound like a victim, he sounds like a man playing from the same sheet of music as the administration and I strongly suspect that the documents that are not being released by reason of executive privilege would reveal this to be the case.

It may not have been domestic gun control. The target could have been the UN international Small Arms Treaty.

Something else to consider is money. Maybe all the guns went to the SAME CARTEL with the goal of enabling that cartel’s business and power, in return for traceless cash and dope, plus the chance for increased controls of the deadly black guns.
