Quinnipiac: Swing states inch toward Obama‎
Politico ^ | 6-27-12 | Alexander Burns

Quinnipiac University's latest three-state poll of 2012 battlegrounds shows modest improvement for President Barack Obama, after what's been perceived as a rough political month:

Voters in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania support President Barack Obama’s new immigration policy and are divided on whether the president or Gov. Mitt Romney would be better for their personal economic future, as they give Obama leads in these three critical swing states, a razor thin 4 points in Florida, a healthy 9 points in Ohio and 6 points in Pennsylvania, according to a Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll released today.

This compares to the results of a May 3 Swing State Poll by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University, showing Obama with an 8-point lead in Pennsylvania with Florida and Ohio too close to call.

Quinnipiac is usually biased toward the RATS.....don’t put much stock in this poll.

Don’t put much stock in politico either. 0blameo won with 54% of the vote in ‘08. Does anyone think he’s made any NEW converts to his cause? In talking & listening to your friends and co-workers, are any of them fired up for 4 more years of this nonsense? True, Mittens isn’t setting any fires, but you can hear the passion about voting this clown out of office.

The only poll that counts is on Election Day.

Even so, we will have a choice between a candidate currently driving America over the cliff at 120 mph, and a candidate who will reduce our speed to 60 mph.

Thelma and Louise, fighting for the wheel.

“a healthy 9 points in Ohio”

Stopped reading right there. This is soooooooooo obviously a fake phony poll. Obama won Ohio last time by only 3 points when he was considered the Messiah. How does he suddenly jump to a 9 point lead when most people see him as Steve Urkel?

Reagan was losing until the Sunday before the election..in 1980

Most polls are fixed..they could lie better in 1980

"Obama is up, 45 percent to 41 percent, in Florida; 47 percent to 38 percent in Ohio; and 45 percent to 39 percent in Pennsylvania."

Somewhat misleading headline. As both Dick Morris and Scott Rasmussen have pointed out -- an incumbent's approval rating reflects the proportion of the vote that he receives in the election. The remainder of voters are pretty sure they don't want another 4 years of Obama -- they know everything that they need to know about his performance after 3 1/2 years -- but aren't willing to say they're committed to the other guy -- yet. It's not Obama v. Romney, it's Obama v. Anyone-But-Obama. If the election were held yesterday -- Obama would have won 45% in Florida, 47% in Ohio and 45% in Pennsylvania. Which is not compatible with Zero's reelection.

Barring an economic miracle over the next 4 months and looking at the current numbers, Zero's pooch should be cooked.

Oh, really. Another Politico piece? This crap isn't worth the electrons used to post it.

More unemployed in Cuyoga county makes up for the people outside the county who wouldn’t vote for him.

While the notion that Obambi is running better in Ohio than in Pennsylvania is laughable, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is indeed leading.

Demographics are killing us. The growth of the entitlement class is through the roof.

Yes very true.

It's scary.

If Baraq wins a 2nd term, America as we've known it will be a memory. We're the N. American version of Greece.

Or worse, it COULD EXPLODE into a second American revolution if Obama gets a second term. Mark my words.

Quinnipiac is polling adults and is not showing the weightings. Pure crap polls they have been releasing lately.

Quinnipiac is also not that good at predicting turnout rations and weightings.

Stick w Gallup and Ras. The rest are very unreliable.

Or rather “lying” so as not to be thought of as “racist”. Come November, in the privacy of the voting booth, it will be a different outcome.

O +9 in Ohio is just ridiculous.

Here is the only thing I can figure. There's some "schmo" out there that is holding on to a very fine thread of support to O. But he is feeling alone, out on an island as everybody around him is bailing on the savior.

Along come the polls and media to let "schmo" know that he is not alone...actually he's in the majority, he's on the winning side. "Schmo" now feels better knowing that even though he might not see strong support directly around him, he's still running with the winner.

It's the only thing I can come up with. So many people really detest O around here in Ohio. At the very least, more people detest him now than they did in 2008.

They should be ashamed to even be called a “swing state”. That just means that half your population is ignorant.
